job?
Is it in good working

H- Housekeeping
5S-
HOUSEKEEPING
5S is a system and way of
organizing and managing
workspaces to improve
efficiency by eliminating
waste, improving flow
and reducing process.
A cluttered and untidy
workplace can lead to
low productivity and
accidents
5S Housekeeping
• SEIRI (sort) - Unnecessary things are disposed or stored away.
• SEITION (set)-Necessary things are kept, arranged for quick retrieval
• SEISO (shine)- Workplace is cleaned regularly. Dusted Off.
• SEIKETSU (standardize) - Standardize the practice
• SHITSUKE (sustain) - Practice 5S Daily. Make it a discipline
SUMMARY
• Practice R.U.M.A.H daily.
• If you take a moment to reflect back on the acronym, all the acronym
is rooted in R that is Risk Assessment.
• If you can at least master this, the other 4 will most likely comes
naturally.
• Share this knowledge to others in the family
• Once R.U.M.A.H becomes a habit, you can further enhance your
knowledge on H&S, that can be used at home.
• Learning is a journey.
