The Rum Love Festival in Poland is moving to a new larger venue, the Zajezdnia Dąbie carbarn, for its fourth edition. The festival has grown in popularity over the past three years in Wroclaw, attracting over 3,500 visitors total who were able to explore and taste rums from around the world. Rum is becoming a more popular spirit in Poland, with the market value increasing 10% annually. The new carbarn venue was originally built in 1912-1913 and will provide more space to accommodate the growing number of rum enthusiasts at the festival.

It has begun from passion… deep interest in alcohols, which has become professional career.
Rum Love Festival creators can consider themselves really lucky, because they do what they love.
Rum festivals have been held around the world for years, but in Poland, rum as well as tequila and
gin can be classified as niche spirits. However, according to research from the Nielsen Consumer Panel
in 2015 rum market value in Poland was 91 million PLN. This means it increased by 10% compared
to the previous year. According to the statements of specialists from KPMG, currently 30 % of Polish
consumers which is equivalent to over 11.5 million people, choose rum at least once a year. Experts
forecast a steady growth of this segment at the level of 2-3 percent per year. It’s worth to highlight that
the growing popularity of cocktails, exotic travels and so on contributes to this, important impact has
also growing popularity of a spirit lovers blogs and educating consumers about rum. Therefore, Tomasz
Krzyk i Jacek Boniecki and their team, decided to organize first rum festival in Poland, which was held
for the third time last year and gained wide interest among spirit enthusiasts.

Rum Love Festival is a unique opportunity to explore flavours and aromas of
the best rums in the world. Festival patrons move for two days to aromatic rum
wonderland.
First three editions of Rum Love Festival took place in Wroclaw Congress Centre
(Wroclawskie Centrum Kongresowe) by the Centennial Hall.
During three editions, the festival was visited by 3,500 people. In previous ones
many workshops, trainings and tastings took place. Many attractions were waiting
for guests, which stimulated the senses and palate showing the extraordinary world
of rum.

Rum Love Festival attracts a growing number of recipients and supporters interested in rum, which
in turn meant that we needed more space than before. That is why after 3 years we are moving the
Rum Love Festival to carbarn - Zajezdnia Dąbie – Czasoprzestrzen.
Zajezdnia Dąbie is considered one of the most beautiful buildings of this type. It fits in the traditional
modernism trend of the beginning of the 20th century. It was founded in 1912–1913 in connection with
the opening of the Centennial Hall and is the best preserved example of communication architecture in
Wroclaw.
Carbarn served its function for almost a century. The last railcar departed at night from 4 to 5 April
2014.
