Rule of thirds and manual
focus
This is an image of
a girl in my class, I
tried taking the
picture so she
would be in the
left vertical,
however this
didn’t work as
well as I thought.
The aperture
setting is f/4 and
the shutter speed
is 1/60
This is an image of
a poster in
college, it worked
as I wanted it to
as the image is in
the left virtual
although the
image overall is
blurred. The
shutter speed
setting is 1/60 and
the aperture
setting is f/4
This is a similar
image of the same
poster in college
and again in the
left vertical, this
time the image
worked better as
the image is in full
focus. The shutter
speed settings is
1/50 and the
aperture setting is
f/4
This is an image of
my friends. The
image worked as I
wanted it to as
they are all in the
left vertical, the
aperture setting is
f/4.5 and the
shutter speed is
1/40
This is an image of
my friend who is
also taking
pictures, this
image worked as I
wanted it to as it
doesn’t have any
blur and my
friends is also in
the left vertical,
the aperture
setting is f/7.1
and the shutter
speed is 1/200
This is an image of
the outside of my
college, it worked
as I wanted it to
as there is no blur
and the tree is in
the left vertical,
the aperture
setting is f/7.1
and the shutter
speed is 1/125
This is an image
of some art on
the wall in
college, it was
meant to be each
piece of art in the
different verticals
– although my
friend didn’t
realize I was
taking the picture
and walked in
front of it. The
aperture setting is
f/4 and the
shutter speed is
1/50

except this time
no one walked in
front of it and it
turned out as I
wanted it to. The
aperture setting is
f/4 and the

focus and they are
in the left vertical,

positioned in the
right vertical, the

This is an image of
a leaf and a
flower. It worked
as I wanted it to
as the leaves are
in the centre
vertical and the
flower is in the
right vertical. I
also changed the
focus manually to
make the leaf in
focus and the
background
blurred. The
shutter speed is
1/80 and the
aperture setting is
f/5.6

  • 2. This is an image of a girl in my class, I tried taking the picture so she would be in the left vertical, however this didn’t work as well as I thought. The aperture setting is f/4 and the shutter speed is 1/60
