Rudyard Kipling was an English writer known for his stories set in India and his celebration of British imperialism. Some of his most popular works include The Jungle Book and Just So Stories. Kipling spent his early childhood in India and attended school in England. He worked as a journalist in India and wrote many stories set there. Kipling received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1907. He lived in England for much of his career and wrote across many genres including short stories, novels, poems and children's literature. Kipling died in 1936 and was buried at Westminster Abbey.
