This rubric evaluates written work on 7 traits: organization of ideas and content, sentence structure, paragraph structure, word choice and tone, grammar/punctuation/spelling, professional format, and professionalism. For each trait, criteria for unacceptable (1), acceptable (2), and superior (3) performance are provided. The superior level indicates concise writing with clear organization, flow, word choice, and error-free mechanics that would be viewed as extremely professional.
