This document outlines the criteria and scoring for a field trip preparation assignment in an education course. It includes 10 criteria scored out of 10% each: location and classroom connection; science and social studies standards and objectives; a learning activity; use of technological resources; other items/requirements; visual appeal; organization; and mechanics of writing. For each criterion, descriptions are provided for scores of 0%, 69%, 74%, 87%, and 100% to guide scoring of assignments. The assignment requires students to plan a field trip for young children that supports science, social studies and cross-curricular learning, including preparatory activities and addressing logistical requirements.
