Workshop Services
The overhaul, repair and upgrade activities
performed in our workshops are an integral part
of the life-of-plant asset management support
offered by Rotork Site Services.
Rotork actuators up to 30 years old are supported and on
completion of work, every overhauled actuator is given a
new 1 year warranty and test certificate confirming that its
performance is identical to the day that it was first built.
We also service and repair all major brands of actuators. Our
service teams have many years of experience in the overhaul
and repair of non-Rotork actuators. Again, we provide a new
1 year warranty upon completion of overhaul or repair work.
There are proven benefits to having a certified
workshop overhaul in comparison to a complete
actuator replacement:
• Less downtime than waiting for a replacement
• No valve modifications or machining of
adaptions/drive-nuts
• Certification and calibrated torque/thrust testing
• New warranty of 12 months from date of commission
on site, if carried out by a Rotork technician
Rotork provides prompt customer field service
response for all types and makes of actuator
including those in hazardous environments
such as nuclear and off-shore installations.
Our support can be planned or in response to
emergency situations.
Rotork Site Services are specialists in actuation services:
• All types and brands of actuators serviced and repaired
• Installation and commissioning services
• Upgrade, troubleshoot and repair/replacement of
damaged or deteriorating assets
• Fully trained and qualified service engineers
• Fully equipped fleet of service vans
• Majority of repairs carried out on-site, not taken away
• Loan actuator service to minimise plant downtime
• Guaranteed emergency response times

7Redefining Flow Control
Our service technicians and workshops carry
a large stock of loan actuators for immediate
response situations. We can install a loan
actuator and take your faulty unit away for
overhaul or repair during same-day or next-day
service call outs.
Our service workshops stock a wide range of loan actuator
types to suit most installation requirements.
• Essential service for critical plant applications
• Minimises plant downtime
• Efficient way to repair your actuators
• No need to isolate your process to facilitate repair
Loan Actuator Service
The careful assembly of penstock valve and
actuator is critical to ensure that an automated
valve performs correctly and reliably. There is
a growing need for actuators to be installed
on valves after they have left the valve
manufacturer’s factory.
With our complete range of electric and fluid-power valve
actuators we can automate all valve types regardless of
the available power supplies. Working with the engineer
responsible for the specification, we will select the correct
actuator type and size based on the basic valve data and the
plant operational criteria.
• Careful assembly of valve and actuator by factory trained
technicians in a controlled workshop environment
• Rotork selects the optimal actuator type and size based
on the valve and installation specifications
• Competitive valve procurement solutions
• We engineer and manufacture all components necessary
to mount the actuator to the valve
• Extended Warranty given when the valve and actuator
are commissioned on-site by Rotork service engineers -
Contact your local service centre to discuss this option
Factory Fit
8
Ensuring the continued operation of all your
actuators, both Rotork and non-Rotork is of
critical importance. To achieve this we only use
original manufacturer parts. We also provide a
12 month warranty on all the work we carry out.
• Our team handle all aspects of the supply of spares
from technical support, quotations, order processing
and shipping
• Rotork tailor make recommended spares packages to suit
new and existing sites of all sizes and for all applications
• We stock a large quantity of OEM spares for all major
brands of non-Rotork actuators at our service centres
• Rotork has developed an extensive on-line part finder
resource to support our customers throughout the life
of their actuators – From initial sales enquiries, through
specifying actuator configurations, sizing guides, wiring
diagrams, service, support, and even parts information
and CAD drawings for individual actuators
Actuators are recognised as major contributors
to efficiency, economy and safety. They facilitate
the quick start-ups demanded by today’s
commercial pressures and play their part in
meeting the emission reductions demanded by
environmental legislation.
• We provide actuator removal, service, repair, test,
re-connection and re-commissioning on a wide range of
electric, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, including
	 other manufacturers units
• Clients frequently use Rotork Site Services to remove,
overhaul, reinstall and commission hundreds of
actuators at the same time in our workshops during
shutdown periods
• We can carry out upgrade projects simultaneously to
ensure that customers make the most of their plant
shutdown time
• We excel at meeting tight shutdown schedules
• We guarantee that your actuators are fully operational
in time for your return to service deadlines

9Redefining Flow Control
Rotork actuators are designed and built to last
– an attribute that is valued by many Rotork
customers who have products dating back to
the 1960s and 70s still in operation.
Like all industrial plant, our actuators are often exposed to
hostile environments or at times can be stressed or damaged
by unpredictable events.
As a result, for customers who want to maximise their
plant operability, we offer health check and preventative
maintenance services including:
• Prioritised maintenance and upgrade paths for your plant
which are agreed with you to meet your efficiency targets
and operational priorities
• Obsolescence management to manage deteriorating
assets and plan for the future
• Compile asset database to assist plant development
• Preventative maintenance prevents costly downtime
and plant failures
• Tailored agreements to suit your needs
• Together we can be Preventative, not Reactive!

15Redefining Flow Control
With Rotork actuators being used in increasingly
diverse applications, support is fundamental
to ensure the correct selection of suitable
equipment. Rotork has a team of Sales Support
and Applications engineers who provide
technical and application support for Rotork
products of any age.
Most of the technical queries can be answered satisfactorily
by our experienced Sales team, however for the more
detailed questions the Sales Support team can be called upon
for extra help.
At Rotork we have many "e-learning systems" to help
facilitate a quick and complete response. The systems include
a document management system, manufacturing systems
and most importantly a query logging system.
Rotork products are designed and manufactured
to the highest possible standards of engineering
- a principle that drives all areas of our business.
So when it comes to product training, you can
benefit from the best.
All our training is tailored to your requirements. The pre-
training questionnaire will determine what sort of training
you require and the type of equipment you have on site, even
down to specific serial numbers and wiring diagrams. Using
this information, a training programme can then be created to
fulfil your specific needs.
As part of a typical course, complete actuators will be
stripped down and rebuilt. Building on their own skills,
students will soon be conversant with all aspects of Rotork
actuator maintenance and repair.
• Comprehensive training facilities at our Leeds and Bath
locations to meet your training requirements

6 Workshop Services The overhaul, repair and upgrade activities performed in our workshops are an integral part of the life-of-plant asset management support offered by Rotork Site Services. Rotork actuators up to 30 years old are supported and on completion of work, every overhauled actuator is given a new 1 year warranty and test certificate confirming that its performance is identical to the day that it was first built. We also service and repair all major brands of actuators. Our service teams have many years of experience in the overhaul and repair of non-Rotork actuators. Again, we provide a new 1 year warranty upon completion of overhaul or repair work. There are proven benefits to having a certified workshop overhaul in comparison to a complete actuator replacement: • Less downtime than waiting for a replacement • No valve modifications or machining of adaptions/drive-nuts • Certification and calibrated torque/thrust testing • New warranty of 12 months from date of commission on site, if carried out by a Rotork technician Rotork provides prompt customer field service response for all types and makes of actuator including those in hazardous environments such as nuclear and off-shore installations. Our support can be planned or in response to emergency situations. Rotork Site Services are specialists in actuation services: • All types and brands of actuators serviced and repaired • Installation and commissioning services • Upgrade, troubleshoot and repair/replacement of damaged or deteriorating assets • Fully trained and qualified service engineers • Fully equipped fleet of service vans • Majority of repairs carried out on-site, not taken away • Loan actuator service to minimise plant downtime • Guaranteed emergency response times Field Services Prompt Response On-Site Repairs 24hr Service24hr Service On-Site Repairs Prompt Response

7Redefining Flow Control Ourservice technicians and workshops carry a large stock of loan actuators for immediate response situations. We can install a loan actuator and take your faulty unit away for overhaul or repair during same-day or next-day service call outs. Our service workshops stock a wide range of loan actuator types to suit most installation requirements. • Essential service for critical plant applications • Minimises plant downtime • Efficient way to repair your actuators • No need to isolate your process to facilitate repair Loan Actuator Service The careful assembly of penstock valve and actuator is critical to ensure that an automated valve performs correctly and reliably. There is a growing need for actuators to be installed on valves after they have left the valve manufacturer’s factory. With our complete range of electric and fluid-power valve actuators we can automate all valve types regardless of the available power supplies. Working with the engineer responsible for the specification, we will select the correct actuator type and size based on the basic valve data and the plant operational criteria. • Careful assembly of valve and actuator by factory trained technicians in a controlled workshop environment • Rotork selects the optimal actuator type and size based on the valve and installation specifications • Competitive valve procurement solutions • We engineer and manufacture all components necessary to mount the actuator to the valve • Extended Warranty given when the valve and actuator are commissioned on-site by Rotork service engineers - Contact your local service centre to discuss this option Factory Fit
