Rush Radiosurgery at Rush University Medical Center is building a research study on the effectiveness of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for treating brain tumors based on data from over 150 brain tumor patients treated at the center. The medical director, Dr. Aidnag Diaz, hopes the study will contribute to the growing body of research improving treatment outcomes for SRS. Rush Radiosurgery has also seen an increase in referrals since opening in 2012 and treats tumors quickly and non-invasively using its TrueBeam STx system.
