On Monday, October 16th, I had the opportunity to watch the play, A Bright Room
Called Day, directed by Brenley Charkow and scripted by American playwright,
Tony Kushner. The main storyline is set in the 1930s particularly in 1932 and 1933
around a group of friends residing in Berlin, the capital of Germany. The plot is
centered around a woman named Agnes, inside of her small apartment in Berlin, who
along with her friends Baz, Husz, Gotchling and Paulinka, begins to realize the
political terror that is about to unfold, following the fall of the Weimar Republicand
Adolf Hitlerand the Nazi Partys succession and rise to power. The sub plot of the
play is set in present day, where a young American woman named Zillah, travels to
Berlin out of anger and frustration over the growing power of Donald Trump and the
Republican Party following the presidential elections in 2017. Overall, the play was
successful in transposing the immediacy of the script because Kushner luxuriated
with exuberance, the sorrows and repression faced intensely by the Berliners in the
1930s, as Germany began to shift very abruptly and bizarrely from decadent
liberalism to genocidal fascism. Tony Kushner s play simultaneously portrays two
different storylines, as mentioned above, both situated in Berlin, with the former in

There are many different things one can put their faith into. The Hollow Men written
by T.S. Eliot examines faith, or rather the deterioration of faith, within society.
Conversely, My Son the Fanatic written by Hanif Kurishi considers the consequences
of containing too much faith. Both works deem religion to be a necessary part of life
in separate ways. Although these texts agree that faith must remain significant with
society, the texts show their argument in strikingly different ways. Eliot exemplifies
the chaos triggered by the absence of faith in society through the style of his writing
which differs greatly from Kurishi s. In addition, Eliot uses fragmented imagery to
convey the chaos caused from the loss of faith while Kurishi uses syntax and diction
to display that too much faith can consume a person.

Abstract Colorimetric assay is a process of determining a concentration of a solution
based on absorbance of light. The purpose of this lab is to determine if the Bradford
assay is an accurate way to determine an unknown concentration of two samples of
protein. The Bradford assay is done by measuring wavelength of light passing through
a cuvette filled with Bradford dye and concentrations of PBS and proteins. After the
cuvettes are mixed they are placed into a spectrophotometer to measure wavelength.
The wavelength given will be used to plot a standard curve based on concentration (x
axis) and wavelength (y axis). The standard curve is then used to measure an educated
guess on the concentrations of unknown protein concentrations. We hypothesized that
if we use the Bradford assay and colorimetric spectrophotometry we can determine an
accurate concentration of two unknown concentrations of proteins. The results of this
lab failed to reject our hypothesis based on accurate measurements of protein
concentrations. The standard curves are drawn with a linear increasing slope. The
Bradford assay is an accurate way to demine the concentration of an unknown
concentration.

camera movement to show the audience the family s dynamic through the eyes of

the growing number of cases going into the criminal justice system for processing and
in accordance with the numbers of death penalty convictions, it can become
questionable the type of counsel being provided to those defendants who are without
sufficient income to afford a lawyer for their defense in a capital case, these
defendants are known under the official name of indigent defendants. Questions over
the type of counsel that is appointed to indigent defendants have opened due to the
high incarceration rates of minorities in the prison system.
As society moves into an era where issues start to become a matter of publicity and
law reforms, the public starts to become more informed and aware of the differences
between having a court appointed defense attorney versus a hired private defense

Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), also known as rod cone dystrophy, is a rare genetic
disease that affects the retinas in the eyes. In the United States, it affects 1 in
