The Romans were known for their greed and love of food. They enjoyed conquering other countries and were well-organized in warfare against groups like the Celts. Only the very wealthy lived in Roman villas, while public baths served as social gathering places where slaves would shave men's beards and separate morning and afternoon sessions were held for ladies and men.
