Our world is changing and in order to
prepare our children for this new world we
need to change the way we educate them. In
the 21st century educators must create a
curriculum that will help students connect
with the world and understand the issues
that our world faces.
Schools in the 21st century will become
nerve centers, a place for teachers and
students to connect with those around them
and their community. Teachers in this new
environment will become less instructors
and more orchestrators of information,
giving children the ability to turn
In order to educate in the 21st century,
teachers and administrators need to
cultivate and maintain the student's
interest in the material by showing how
this knowledge applies in the real world.
They must also try to increase their
student's curiosity, which will help them
become lifelong learners. Next they
should be flexible with how they teach
and give learners the resources to
continue learning outside of school.
Instruction must be student-
centered
Also called as Learner-centered
Helps develop autonomy and independence among the
learner
It is based on constructivist learning theory
Students connects their previous knowledge with the new
information they got to solve a certain problem
Believe that learner is also an important resource because
he/she too knows something
Helps students learn how to learn on their own
More interactive classroom
Learning is discovery, not the memorization of facts
Education should be collaborative
Students should work together to discover
information, piece it together and construct
meaning
Collaboration should also be dynamic
Teach the students to respect each other
differences
Schools should also collaborate to other
educational institution to share information
and learn about different practices and
methods that have been developed
Learning should have context
Teacher can make a point in helping students to understand
how the skills they are building can be applied in their lives.
Students will be much more motivated to learn something that
they can see the value in.
Technology is considered a tool for learning which plays a very
vital role in 21st century education. The following are the roles
of technology in 21st education.
 Technology allows for 24/7 access information
 Constant social interaction, and
 Easily created and shared digital content
Educator can leverage technology to create engaging and
personalized environment to meet educational needs to our
current generation. As our digital capacity expands and our
training in technology use grows, teacher will begin to utilize
technology to better meet the needs and interests of students
through technology application and instruction
There is a call for action to integrate technology as a
fundamental block into education in three broad areas ;
1. Use technology comprehensively to develop
proficiency in 21st century skills
2.Use technology comprehensively to support
innovative teaching and learning
3.Use technology comprehensively to create
robust education

AUDIO-VISUAL AID IS IMPORTANT IN
TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS. THEY NEED TO
BE USED ACCORDING TO TIME. ALL
TECHNOLOGIES HAVE TO BE USED IN
THE PRESENT TYPE OF TEACHING-LEARNING
ENVIRONMENT. CAI WILL HELP THE LEARNER AS
WELL AS THE TEACHER TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS
OF EDUCATION MORE CONVENIENTLY.
HELP IN OVERALL IMPROVEMENT
EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY HELPS IN REMEDYING
ALL PROBLEMS IN ALL AREAS OF EDUCATION.
THROUGH FEEDBACKS, THINGS ARE IMPROVED

  • 2. Our world is changing and in order to prepare our children for this new world we need to change the way we educate them. In the 21st century educators must create a curriculum that will help students connect with the world and understand the issues that our world faces. Schools in the 21st century will become nerve centers, a place for teachers and students to connect with those around them and their community. Teachers in this new environment will become less instructors and more orchestrators of information, giving children the ability to turn
  • 3. In order to educate in the 21st century, teachers and administrators need to cultivate and maintain the student's interest in the material by showing how this knowledge applies in the real world. They must also try to increase their student's curiosity, which will help them become lifelong learners. Next they should be flexible with how they teach and give learners the resources to continue learning outside of school.
  • 4. Instruction must be student- centered Also called as Learner-centered Helps develop autonomy and independence among the learner It is based on constructivist learning theory Students connects their previous knowledge with the new information they got to solve a certain problem Believe that learner is also an important resource because he/she too knows something Helps students learn how to learn on their own More interactive classroom Learning is discovery, not the memorization of facts

Education should be collaborative Students should work together to discover information, piece it together and construct meaning Collaboration should also be dynamic Teach the students to respect each other differences Schools should also collaborate to other educational institution to share information and learn about different practices and methods that have been developed
  • 6. Learning should have context Teacher can make a point in helping students to understand how the skills they are building can be applied in their lives. Students will be much more motivated to learn something that they can see the value in. Technology is considered a tool for learning which plays a very vital role in 21st century education. The following are the roles of technology in 21st education.  Technology allows for 24/7 access information  Constant social interaction, and  Easily created and shared digital content Educator can leverage technology to create engaging and personalized environment to meet educational needs to our current generation. As our digital capacity expands and our training in technology use grows, teacher will begin to utilize technology to better meet the needs and interests of students through technology application and instruction
  • 7. There is a call for action to integrate technology as a fundamental block into education in three broad areas ; 1. Use technology comprehensively to develop proficiency in 21st century skills 2.Use technology comprehensively to support innovative teaching and learning 3.Use technology comprehensively to create robust education
  • 9. 1. IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ANALYSES THE PROCESS OF TEACHING THOROUGHLY. IT FINDS OUT THE DIFFERENT VARIABLES OF TECHING. IT HELPS IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION
  • 10. 2. ANALYSIS OF THE TEACHING- LEARNING PROCESS EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AIMS AT ANALYZING THE PROCESS OF TEACHING—LEARNING PROCESS THOROUGHLY. IT TRIES TO FIND OUT THE DIFFERENT VARIABLES OF TEACHING THEIR INTERLINKS UPON EACH OTHER, RELATIONSHIP. IT IS ALSO CONCERNED WITH VARIOUS PHASES OF TEACHING. THE PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING AND THE MAXIMS OF TEACHING ARE ALSO EVALUATED BY IT. OVER ALL, IT TRIES TO ESTABLISH BETTER RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TEACHING AND LEARNING.
  • 11. 3.IMPROVEMENT OF LEARNING EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ANALYSES THE PROCESS OF LEARNING AND THE RELATED THEORIES. IT FACILITATES MORE OF LEARNING IN LESS TIME. IT TAKES THE HELP OF VARIOUS EMPIRICALLY ESTABLISHED GENERALIZATIONS FROM PSYCHOLOGY, SOCIOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND ETC.
  • 12. 4. ENHANCING GOALS OF EDUCATION EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY HELPS FINDING OUT AND ENHANCING THE RIGHT OBJECTIVES IN THE LIGHT OF THE CHANGED CIRUMSTANCES AND CHANGED ENVIRONMENT.
  • 13. 5. TRAINING TO TEACHERS THE CHANGED TYPE OF ENVIRONMENT WITH NEW CURRICULUM AND NEW MATERIALS IS TO BE HANDLED BY THE TEACHERS. RIGHT TYPE OF TRAINING TO THE TEACHERS IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CAN RENDER IT’S VALUABLE HELP IN TRAINING OF TEACHERS ALSO
  • 14. 6. DEVELOPMENT OF CURRICULUM CURRICULUM IS THE TOTAL TEACHING- LEARNING ENVIRONMENT, WHICH HAS TO BE MODIFIED AND REMODELED IN THE LIGHT OF LATEST THOUGHTS. EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CAN DO THIS JOB OF DEVELOPING SUITABLE CURRICULUM APPROPRIATELY
  • 15. 7.DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHING- LEARNING MATERIALS TEACHING-LEARNING MATERIALS IS VITAL IN TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS. THEY HAVE TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE LEARNERS. EVERYTHING IN SOCIETY INCLUDING VALUES OF LIFE NEED BE REFLECTED IN THE MATERIALS. ONLY RIGHT TYPE OF MATERIALS WILL ABLE TO MODIFY THE BEHAVIOR OF THE LEARNER SUITABLY MAKING HIM A FIT PERSON FOR THE SOCIETY
  • 16. TEACHING-LEARNING STRATEGIES A STRATEGY MUST BE APPROPRIATE WITH THE KIND OF STUDENTS THE TEACHERS HAVE. IT IS IMPORTANT IN THE TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS AND IT MUST BE RIGHT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MATERIALS TO BRING OUT EFFECTIVE TEACHING LEARNING. DIFFERENT STRATEGIES ARE BEING EVOLVED BY EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY. THE KNOWLEDGE OF THOSE STRATEGIES IS A MUST FOR EVERY TEACHER.
  • 17. 9. DEVELOPMENT OF AUDIO-VISUAL AID AUDIO-VISUAL AID IS IMPORTANT IN TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS. THEY NEED TO BE USED ACCORDING TO TIME. ALL TECHNOLOGIES HAVE TO BE USED IN THE PRESENT TYPE OF TEACHING-LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. CAI WILL HELP THE LEARNER AS WELL AS THE TEACHER TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS OF EDUCATION MORE CONVENIENTLY.
  • 18. HELP IN OVERALL IMPROVEMENT EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY HELPS IN REMEDYING ALL PROBLEMS IN ALL AREAS OF EDUCATION. THROUGH FEEDBACKS, THINGS ARE IMPROVED THOROUGHLY AND THERE IS BETTER CONTROL OVER THE PROCESS OF EDUCATION. THUS, EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CAN REVOLUTIONIZE THE WHOLE PROCESS OF TEACHING LEARNING.
  • 19. IDENTIFICATION OF THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY IT HELPS IN PROVIDING EQUAL EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES TO BACKWARD PEOPLE, DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS AND DEPRIVED SECTIONS OF SOCIETY. EDUCATIONAL AIMS IDENTIFYING THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY FROM TIME TO TIME. IT TRIES TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.
