Business Idea
Our company’s objective is to promote the
knowledge and understanding of mathematics
through the use of social networks and peer learning,
always supervised by teachers.
 INSTAMATH was formed after realizing two self
evident facts that required no additional research
or study.
 Young people are very attracted to and competent
in using social networks especially Instagram.
 Many students have problems when it comes to
understanding Mathematics.
 We are a not-for-profit online company but are
seeking to attract a sufficient number of followers
(more than 1000) to generate an income from
advertisers wanting to use our site.
Location
As we are an online company we
can work from home updating
the content of our account, but
we are able to use our school,
IES Álvarez Cubero of Priego de
Córdoba, as our base. Here we
have all the necessary materials to
assist us such as chalkboards,
chalk, notebooks, cameras and
supportive teaching staff.
 Every two days, we upload photos
of problems we have worked on in
class or for homework, not only for
our level, (16-17 years) but also at
other levels.
 Every 15 to 20 days we post a live
Instagram of the Maths unit that we
are learning.
 The comments and feedback we
receive from our followers enable
us to respond to and target different
lessons and address the problems
that arise for our users.
How do we work?
Roles of the company
Being an altruistic company, we have been forced to share out the work to manage it
better and eliminate expenses:
 Lorena is in charge of creating
the profile and its administration.
 Francisco David is responsible
for publicising the company through social networks
and in person.
 Roberto is in charge of solving mathematical problems and
uploading them using photographic images
 María Victoria and Pedro are
responsible for Instagram Live.
They solve Maths problems live and
thoroughly explain them.
Strategy of dissemination
We will use the following ways publicise our company:
 Word of mouth, through discussions with our schoolmates, supporters of this
project and acquaintances.
 Promoting it via social networks: E.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter…
 Asking the school staff to raise awareness of the project with colleagues,
professional contacts and students.
Economic analysis and
sources of income
As we explained before, the company
is online and altruistic; it does not
require premises, furniture, electricity,
light, or materials of any kind. Our
school can provide us with the materials
we require.
We anticipate that as our followers
grow in number we will be able to
attract advertising which will generate an
income stream that can be reinvested in
the company. Until that time we are
not liable for any taxes.
Conclusion
In summary, our company wants young people to learn Mathematics in a much
more entertaining way, not only in Spain, but also throughout the rest of Europe
which is why we have chosen English as our means of communication.
Please follow us and promote INSTAMATH among your colleagues. We really
will appreciate your support.
