This document discusses the growth potential and business models of robo-advisors. It begins by asking how big and fast the robo-advisor industry can grow in the US, what business models may be successful, and where advice is headed in the future. It then examines the size and growth projections of the robo-advisor market, outlines different business models, and explores how advanced analytics could expand the scope of automated advice over time. The document concludes that while robo-advice has significant growth potential, many questions remain around which firms and models can succeed in this evolving space.
Robo Advice: Revenge of the Incumbents (MyVest and Aite INVEST session)MyVest
After digital disruptors demonstrated the viability of automated advice, traditional firms are in the middle of responding to this threat and opportunity. MyVest’s CEO Anton Honikman will interview Aite Group’s Alois Pirker about his research into how incumbents are developing their digital wealth offerings. Alois will share how we are moving from the 2nd to the 3rd stage of robo-advice adoption, and his recommendations for how you can prepare for the future through making better use of segmentation, data, and differentiated advice.
The Empire strikes back. As the first wave of robo-advisers retreats, their technology innovation is used against them. They continue to be sold or morph into white-labeled B2B platforms. Retail giants such as Vanguard, Schwab and Fidelity use their scale to hoover up the low-end of the advisory market. Meanwhile, traditional wealth managers, such as Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and UBS, continue to move up-market, adopting robo technologies and evolving into cyborg-advisors. DOL's fiduciary ruling catalyzes a new era for wealth managers as their product-pushing brokers soon become extinct. Digital financial planning becomes fully integrated into a technology-rich private banking model covering assets and liabilities. Client engagement and advisory technologies define the new battleground.

Companies large and small have to be thoughtful about where they position themselves to be sustainable. Strategies of position are back with a vengeance. CommerzVentures: the rise of the robo advisors from an investor’s perspectiveCommerzVentures
Over the course of the last few years, the so-called robo advisors have gained significant media coverage in the financial technology (Fintech) space. Invested assets in automated investment services more than doubled from 2014 to 2015 and no Fintech conference has taken place without a newly established robo advisor. Additionally, there have been inflows of hundreds of millions of dollars in venture capital backing into the start-ups behind the robo advisors. Betterment, for example, one of the most famous and largest robo advisors, raised USD100m venture funding in March 2016. We have also started to see the adoption of automated advice by traditional banks and investment managers. This article serves as an introduction to CommerzVentures and our view on the rise of the robo advisors.

Digital Disruption in Asset and Wealth ManagementCapgemini
The groundswell that is today impacting massively retail banking is now impacting all banking businesses. Opportunities offered by new digital technology such as Big data & analytics have not been fully explored yet by Asset & Wealth Management actors, and new technologies are mainly confined to improve shared platforms and reporting flexibility. But the turn might come soon now with the aggressive launches of Fintechs investing all parts of the banking business, including its most exclusive territories.
Asset and Wealth Management might be the next targets, facing the up-rise of new Robo-Advisors quickly gaining market
share on their devoted playground until now.
Traditional Asset and Wealth Managers should anticipate and react, building on their knowledge and assets in order to contain this new trend but this will require that they adapt and probably more globally rethink their business model, to avoid the commoditization of their activity.
The aim of this document is to present how Asset and Wealth Managers can take advantage of the digital revolution / emergence of Fintechs to become more competitive and attract more clients.

How to Select a Clearing Firm 2020: A Guide for RoboadvisorsBrian Cedeno
Instead of waiting on the sidelines as the disruption happens around them, advisors are seizing the opportunity to expand their geographic reach and attract next-generation investors.
These forward-looking advisors are now implementing robo-advisory services firmly underpinned by the human expertise that they have spent their career building – expertise that many novice investors will likely consider valuable as their needs become more complex.
The decision to launch a robo is undoubtedly an exciting one yet it represents just the first hurdle in a series of vital choices.
And, of the subsequent decisions you must make, selecting the right clearing firm for your clients’ assets is arguably among the most important.
A significant CAGR of 53.8% during the forecast period of 2018-2023, is anticipated for the global Robo-advisory market, propelling its value to roughly USD 74 Bn, by 2023 – in contrast to its 2015 value of USD 5.9 Bn. A shift in preference towards automation, cost reduction and simplified client experiences will bring this new wave of technology to the fore in the wealth management industry. The hybrid model - an integration of human and robo-advisors – is the most prominent trend being observed in the market.

www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.
