2. So, after leaving the port of Southampton, we head into the
North sea, where you see a lot of oil rigs like this one
3. And then we approach the city of Bergen, this is an aerial view of
our ship in the port.
4. A panorama view of the whole of Bergen on top of one of the many mountains that
surround it.
5. As we arrived the next day in the port of Andalsnes, the weather was
very nice to us yet again, considering Norway is one of the wettest places
on Earth, I think we got rather lucky.
7. The train that we would catch to have a tour of Andalsnes and the
surrounding countryside
8. As there was a clearing in the trees
that ran alongside the railway, this
was the view that appeared.
9. The port in Andalsnes gave us a good view of our ship from the front, so I
didn’t waste the opportunity to get picture of this enormous machine.
10. To put the size of the ship into perspective, I found this
picture on google showing a quite large life boat guiding
it into a port.
11. I didn’t get any pictures of when we arrived in Olden
because it was raining in the morning, but when we went
to visit a glacier, the weather brightened up a bit.
12. Norwegians seem to like putting grass on the roofs of their
houses, not sure why, but still, it looks cool
13. I wouldn’t mind living here knowing that the water from this lake
that’s in the picture is drinkable because it is natural spring water
from a glacier, plus the view = yes please
15. We arrived at Stavanger, the last port in our journey, but it was raining
when we arrived so I didn’t take any pictures, but here is a view from the
trip we took into the countryside.
16. Over 10,000 years ago their was a mountain that used to
be there, but one winter ice got into the cracks in the
rocks and the whole mountain exploded, leaving rock
debris for miles around.
17. And that brings us to the end of my trip, and I would definitely recommend it to
anyone interested. I had a fantastic time, on board the ship and ashore, plus the
food was excellent, the room service was excellent, the facilities were
excellent, and the Norwegian people were friendly as well.
P.S I think I found Ik as well
