2. We had to pass over this bridge, do I need to tell you
it took some time?

3. It was much quicker to pass this kind of bridge, as soon as the
dogs understood that it wasn’t as dangerous as it looked.

4. The dogs liked the
lowland trails the
most, even more as the
trail was curvy and
went up and down
hill.

5. In Skottland, south of Gäddede, it fell much
snow.

6. As the trail went on the
mountain side it was hard
to keep the sledge on the
trail because it kept sliding
down.

7. In Hotagens nature reserve
the snow was partly hard
and partly soft so the dogs
had to work really hard to
get going.

8. The wet snow that fell
in Hotagen made the
trail tough.

9. In the afternoon it was
really rainy and the lake
which we were passing
over was covered with 2-
10 cm water.

10. We had to stay four days in Gäddede to wait for better
weather.

12. The trail crosses were good
friends, especially when there
was a snow storm.

13. Fairly often the trail
went alongside a
reindeer fence. This
made us more
attentive, hoping there
wouldn’t be any
unexpected meeting.

16. We are on top of the world – anyway that’s what it felt like.

17. Sleeping, sleeping, sleeping – Sarek totally relaxed

18. Before coming to Ammarnäs the trail went over a small stream,
on which the ice was really bad. Both the dogs and our feet went
all soaked through.

Håkan fell
unwillingly every
now and then

20. The risk of falling was
much smaller on the
lake.

21. Among the birches Christina often had to work hard to
get the sledge on trail again.

25. As we went close to Kvikkjokk there was hardly no
snow again.

26. Luckily there was snow enough on the bare
mountain.

down to Kvikkjokk

28. Just vey beautiful

29. Going on the water reservoar felt like going on the moon. The
surface didn’t seem at all like ice, it was hilly and there were dark
holes with water.

30. And the landscape was filled with up side down ice
craters.
