Shades of the film 'Matrix', which I was recommended to view, some ideas of my own psychotic mind, and those of others. This type of pre-occupation can be the backdrop for self-neglect and pauper lunacy. Interesting, though.

The document discusses expectations and realities of rural development in India. It defines rural areas and communities, noting agriculture as the main occupation. Key features of rural communities include villages as institutions, a sense of community, and religion. Rural lifestyles differ from urban ones due to limited services. Rural development aims to improve economic and social conditions through collective efforts like increased infrastructure, technology, health, education, and local economies. It discusses objectives, needs, and importance of rural development in India.
This document outlines a plan to achieve full employment in the UK by 2020-21. It defines full employment as reaching an employment rate of 78% for those aged 16-64, with most of the growth coming from increased participation rather than lower unemployment. It argues that a new policy agenda is needed focused on reducing employment exits and increasing entry for "low activity" groups like the disabled, low-qualified, mothers, and ethnic minorities. The document proposes policies like employment support services for all workless people and targeting apprenticeships at those transitioning to work. Achieving full employment is positioned as key to inclusive prosperity.
Full employment: modelling the impact on public financesIPPR
Increasing employment rates among underrepresented groups in the UK labour market could significantly boost public finances and reduce welfare spending. A report estimates the impact of raising female employment by 10%, older worker employment by 15%, employment among disabled people by 0.5 million, and employment rates in certain regions and among the BAME population to 72%. Across these groups, billions more in tax receipts could be generated and billions less spent on benefits. The report also discusses barriers certain groups face and policies to support higher employment.

The document outlines various strategies for generating full employment in India, including increasing agricultural productivity, expanding agro-industries, and improving vocational skills training. It recommends doubling India's farm yields through contract farming, rural information centers, and farm schools. Expanding horticulture, food processing, fisheries, and the dairy industry could generate over 60 million jobs. Improving vocational skills training through computer-based learning and vocational schools aims to address India's shortage of employable skills.
This is a marathon epic effort with many slides, partly due to animations. This cartoon shows the utter futility of employment programmes for patients in the old NHS asylums in the UK. It wasn't jobs to help patients going into the community, it was jobs for those running the system that kept patients without hope of independence, never to escape the system themselves or to get a real job. This was my personal experience.
The document discusses various causes and types of human migration. It notes that historically migration has been driven by needs for food, shelter and safety, but now also includes job relocation and overpopulation. Rural-urban migration is common in developing countries as people move to cities for more opportunities, though often settle in slums. Migration can have both positive and negative effects on populations and cultures through changes in demographics and mixing of groups. Push factors driving migration include lack of resources and jobs, while pull factors attracting migration include potential work and improved standards of living.
This document discusses different types of migration including rural-urban migration, seasonal migration, planned migration, and involuntary migration. It provides details on each type, including common causes, examples, and potential consequences for areas that migrants leave and arrive in, as well as consequences for migrants themselves. Rural-urban migration is driven by population growth and lack of opportunity in rural areas, pushing young males to cities. Planned migration includes Indonesia's transmigration program to relocate people from overpopulated islands like Java to less populated outer islands, with mixed results. Involuntary migration refers to forced migration of refugees fleeing conflict, persecution, or environmental disasters.

These lecture slides, by Dr Sidra Arshad, offer a quick overview of the physiological basis of a normal electrocardiogram.
Learning objectives:
1. Define an electrocardiogram (ECG) and electrocardiography
2. Describe how dipoles generated by the heart produce the waveforms of the ECG
3. Describe the components of a normal electrocardiogram of a typical bipolar lead (limb II)
4. Differentiate between intervals and segments
5. Enlist some common indications for obtaining an ECG
6. Describe the flow of current around the heart during the cardiac cycle
7. Discuss the placement and polarity of the leads of electrocardiograph
8. Describe the normal electrocardiograms recorded from the limb leads and explain the physiological basis of the different records that are obtained
9. Define mean electrical vector (axis) of the heart and give the normal range
10. Define the mean QRS vector
11. Describe the axes of leads (hexagonal reference system)
12. Comprehend the vectorial analysis of the normal ECG
13. Determine the mean electrical axis of the ventricular QRS and appreciate the mean axis deviation
14. Explain the concepts of current of injury, J point, and their significance

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).
Muktapishti is a traditional Ayurvedic preparation made from Shoditha Mukta (Purified Pearl), is believed to help regulate thyroid function and reduce symptoms of hyperthyroidism due to its cooling and balancing properties. Clinical evidence on its efficacy remains limited, necessitating further research to validate its therapeutic benefits.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.
