Ulrich's Periodicals Directory is a database that provides detailed information about journals worldwide. It can be used to identify whether a journal is peer-reviewed, a trade publication, or popular press. Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory (Ulrichsweb) is a bibliographic database providing detailed,
comprehensive, and authoritative information on serials published throughout the
world.
You can use it to help you identify if a journal you are using is a peer reviewed, trade or
popular journal.

Databases and then select “U”

fields to find out the title, ISSN, country of publication, frequency, website and
description

fields in which you will be particularly
interested as they describe whether or
not the journal is peer reviewed (or
“refereed”) You can see in this
example, that the Nursing Times is a
“trade” magazine and it is not peer
reviewed.

International Nursing Review into the search box then ‘search’
