Abstract
Bloodstream infections refer to the infections that occur in the healthcare facilities and they are the new infections that are acquired within the facility. These infections lead to hospitalization, morbidity, and mortality in hemodialysis patients. There are about 30,100 reported incidences of infections in the United States. The bloodstream infections are caused by the equipment being used by the healthcare providers for example the surgical equipment, the environment of the facility, and the healthcare workers or patients who transmit such infection to the other. The paper aimed at discussing the adherence or the practices recommended by the CDC to help in the prevention and reduction of the bloodstream infection in hemodialysis patients. The CDC proposed some interventions to be followed in the reduction of these infections. These included the provision of the feedback, surveillance, audit of the hygi.

Knowledge remains one of the most significant resource for any given firm (Grant, 1996a: 375). Introduction to the Problem
The problem under investigation in this research is the issue of obesity and weight management. This topic was selected because it the issues is affecting many people today around the world and most significantly in the United States. Thousands of people worldwide are dying from obesity and overweight related illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure among many others (Obesity & weight control: Health risks, weight loss & bariatric surgery, n.d.). Therefore, it has a huge impact on the healthcare system since it has increased the problems that healthcare professionals and facilities are facing. Hospitals are now congested mainly due to diet related illnesses, obesity being at the top of the list, which causes short staffing due to the increasing patients numbers relative to providers’ numbers. The providers, especially nurses, may then suffer from burnout and thus affecting the quality of care that they provide. Several weight management programs have then been created in order to tackle the serious problem of obesity. Therefore, conducting a proper research on obesity and weight management programs is very crucial since it will help in providing in-depth understanding of the whole issue and thus useful in developing and implementing ways that can curb the problem by proper implementation of these programs. This will improve the conditions of healthcare facilities and eventually the quality of care provided.
The Problem
The problem is obesity and weight management programs. Obesity is a medical condition that occurs when an individual has excess body fat or weight that might have some significant effect on his or her health (Hu, 2008). On the other hand, weight management is the process of embracing long-term lifestyle modification to keep a healthy body weight on depending on the age, gender, and height of an individual. They include methods such as eating heathy food and increasing the levels of physical activity. Environmental influences refer to external factors that impact an organization's marketing decisions involving pricing. Having a pricing goal is not sufficient; an organization must consider many other factors before setting its product prices. Customers are a crucial consideration when making a pricing decision. The three vital elements for consideration about customers are whether they feel that the product provides value, how sensitive the buyers are to prices changes, the number of buyers available. The company needs to collect market size data and try to identify how sensitive customers are on price. The product's price should match the buyers' perception of the value they are likely to get from the product (Zhou, 2019). The number of buyers able and willing to buy the product, determine the demand of the product, and due to forces of demand and supply, it influences the product price. When the demand is high, the company can set relatively high prices.
The way competitors sell and price their products has a great impact on the pricing decision of a company. If a customer wants to buy a pair of sneakers from Gucci Company, but the price 20% less in another competing company, the customer is more likely to buy the product from the competitor. Companies should consider matching their prices to that of the competitors to establish and maintain their loyal clients to avoid this problem, which may cost the company its market share. When the competition is too high, the company may also consider giving an extra discount if the customers feel the prices may be better somewhere else. The presence of substitute commodities impacts the pricing decision of a company as well (Kim, 2019) If the prices of certain products become too high, the customers may look for a substitute that solves the same problem. High completion also means and the company should invest more in advertising.
The economic forces impact the product pricing decision. The economic environment factors like unemployment levels and interest rates impact the price. When the level of unemployment is very high, many people will have lower bargaining power due to low income, which results in reduced demand for the product, the lower the demand, the lower the price. When interest rates are very high, the company is likely to increase the prices of a product to compensate for the interests. The rate of currency exchange in the international market also influences the product pricing.

Going global and conducting new businesses on an international level can be challenging, but it can also be a great opportunity to enhance potential and growth. Many companies have decided to go global and enjoy the opportunities presented to them, but such a vital expansion is not always easy. There are several risks and challenges one can experience since businesses work differently in other countries. Yum Brands, an American fast-food company, is considering expanding to the Asian markets specifically India. This project will, therefore, analyse the cultural differences between America and India. It will also analyse the cultural exchange, and lastly, analyse the best distribution method for the company.
Cultural Differences
We can define cultural differences are the several beliefs, languages, vocabularies, practices, and behaviours considered distinctive to members of a particular national origin, race, or ethnicity. One of the major cultural difference between Indian and American culture is family relationships. Indians are much more family-oriented, on the other hand, Americans are individual-oriented. In India, family values are more significant than individual values. On the contrary, individual values are more significant than family values in America. Indians are more dedicated to their family whereas Americans are more dedicated to themselves.
Another difference relates to hierarchies and goals. Americans are goal-oriented, they work to get profits as fast as they can. This is normally attained by effective teamwork, with every individual accountable for their own actions and decisions. In India, on the contrary, individuals emphasize more on the hierarchies (geerthofsted.com). Individuals at the lower part of the hierarchy are not authorised to make any decision and those at the upper part of the hierarchy could make decisions based on their interests.
Unlike in America, In India, the head of the company or family make decisions. Moreover, older people are more respected and addressed and referred to in a formal way. On the other hand, older people in American culture are not respected because of their age but because of their achievements. In America, people can also question and challenge their superiors in public, within reasons. This can be viewed as rude and disrespectful in India.
The other difference relates to time. Americans are normally impatient. Deadlines in business contracts are strict and they must be met. Individuals will work for long hours to accomplish this and there is no easiness for delays. In India, in contrast, life goes at a slower speed. Indians view time more of circular than linear and relationship is more vital than deadlines.

By definition, Big Data can simply be termed as voluminous data. In more specific definitions, it can be termed as that which is large, complex and fast and a s a result, is not in a position to be processed using the typical traditional methods of data processing. The volume, variety, velocity, variability and veracity are used in the categorizing of data as big data. With the development in technology, and the continued incorporation of these technological sources into our day to day lives, the collected data through the Internet of Things among other information systems has resulted in big data (Ivanov, 2018). One such areas where Big data is found is in the social media platforms. As opposed to the olden days, currently, more and more people and companies are using social media daily to achieve their specific objectives and goals, it is estimated that social media platforms like Facebook produce data as big as 500+ terabytes in a s ingle day!
Most of these data in the social media are as a result of the videos, photos, messages and comments being shared across the media platforms. Not only do individuals use social media to keep in touch, but companies also use it in a concept called social media marketing. Through the media, and using big data analytics, companies are able to map out consumer behavior through what they like and what they share (Nicora, 2019). They use these platforms to reach their target audiences and at the same time use them to get feedback from their clients. As a result, the amount of data from social media platforms is not only voluminous, it is also heterogenous in the sense that it contains both nominal and numeral values from different places, it is variable in that it has unpredictable flow, it is fast because it is collected in real time. This qualifies the data to be Big Data and requires big data analytics to process.

Abstract
Bloodstream infections refer to the infections that occur in the healthcare facilities and they are the new infections that are acquired within the facility. These infections lead to hospitalization, morbidity, and mortality in hemodialysis patients. There are about 30,100 reported incidences of infections in the United States. The bloodstream infections are caused by the equipment being used by the healthcare providers for example the surgical equipment, the environment of the facility, and the healthcare workers or patients who transmit such infection to the other. The paper aimed at discussing the adherence or the practices recommended by the CDC to help in the prevention and reduction of the bloodstream infection in hemodialysis patients. The CDC proposed some interventions to be followed in the reduction of these infections. These included the provision of the feedback, surveillance, audit of the hygi.

Introduction to the Problem
The problem under investigation in this research is the issue of obesity and weight management. This topic was selected because it the issues is affecting many people today around the world and most significantly in the United States. Thousands of people worldwide are dying from obesity and overweight related illnesses such as diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure among many others (Obesity & weight control: Health risks, weight loss & bariatric surgery, n.d.). Therefore, it has a huge impact on the healthcare system since it has increased the problems that healthcare professionals and facilities are facing. Hospitals are now congested mainly due to diet related illnesses, obesity being at the top of the list, which causes short staffing due to the increasing patients numbers relative to providers’ numbers. The providers, especially nurses, may then suffer from burnout and thus affecting the quality of care that they provide. Several weight management programs have then been created in order to tackle the serious problem of obesity. Therefore, conducting a proper research on obesity and weight management programs is very crucial since it will help in providing in-depth understanding of the whole issue and thus useful in developing and implementing ways that can curb the problem by proper implementation of these programs. This will improve the conditions of healthcare facilities and eventually the quality of care provided.
The Problem
The problem is obesity and weight management programs. Obesity is a medical condition that occurs when an individual has excess body fat or weight that might have some significant effect on his or her health (Hu, 2008). On the other hand, weight management is the process of embracing long-term lifestyle modification to keep a healthy body weight on depending on the age, gender, and height of an individual. Environmental influences refer to external factors that impact an organization's marketing decisions involving pricing. Having a pricing goal is not sufficient; an organization must consider many other factors before setting its product prices. Customers are a crucial consideration when making a pricing decision. The three vital elements for consideration about customers are whether they feel that the product provides value, how sensitive the buyers are to prices changes, the number of buyers available. The company needs to collect market size data and try to identify how sensitive customers are on price. The product's price should match the buyers' perception of the value they are likely to get from the product (Zhou, 2019). The number of buyers able and willing to buy the product, determine the demand of the product, and due to forces of demand and supply, it influences the product price. When the demand is high, the company can set relatively high prices.
The way competitors sell and price their products has a great impact on the pricing decision of a company. If a customer wants to buy a pair of sneakers from Gucci Company, but the price 20% less in another competing company, the customer is more likely to buy the product from the competitor. Companies should consider matching their prices to that of the competitors to establish and maintain their loyal clients to avoid this problem, which may cost the company its market share. When the competition is too high, the company may also consider giving an extra discount if the customers feel the prices may be better somewhere else. The presence of substitute commodities impacts the pricing decision of a company as well (Kim, 2019) If the prices of certain products become too high, the customers may look for a substitute that solves the same problem. High completion also means and the company should invest more in advertising.
The economic forces impact the product pricing decision. The economic environment factors like unemployment levels and interest rates impact the price. When the level of unemployment is very high, many people will have lower bargaining power due to low income, which results in reduced demand for the product, the lower the demand, the lower the price. When interest rates are very high, the company is likely to increase the prices of a product to compensate for the interests. The rate of currency exchange in the international market also influences the product pricing.

Going global and conducting new businesses on an international level can be challenging, but it can also be a great opportunity to enhance potential and growth. Many companies have decided to go global and enjoy the opportunities presented to them, but such a vital expansion is not always easy. There are several risks and challenges one can experience since businesses work differently in other countries. Yum Brands, an American fast-food company, is considering expanding to the Asian markets specifically India. This project will, therefore, analyse the cultural differences between America and India. It will also analyse the cultural exchange, and lastly, analyse the best distribution method for the company.
Cultural Differences
We can define cultural differences are the several beliefs, languages, vocabularies, practices, and behaviours considered distinctive to members of a particular national origin, race, or ethnicity. One of the major cultural difference between Indian and American culture is family relationships. Indians are much more family-oriented, on the other hand, Americans are individual-oriented. In India, family values are more significant than individual values. On the contrary, individual values are more significant than family values in America. Indians are more dedicated to their family whereas Americans are more dedicated to themselves.
Another difference relates to hierarchies and goals. Americans are goal-oriented, they work to get profits as fast as they can. This is normally attained by effective teamwork, with every individual accountable for their own actions and decisions. In India, on the contrary, individuals emphasize more on the hierarchies (geerthofsted.com). Individuals at the lower part of the hierarchy are not authorised to make any decision and those at the upper part of the hierarchy could make decisions based on their interests.
Unlike in America, In India, the head of the company or family make decisions. Moreover, older people are more respected and addressed and referred to in a formal way. On the other hand, older people in American culture are not respected because of their age but because of their achievements. In America, people can also question and challenge their superiors in public, within reasons. This can be viewed as rude and disrespectful in India.
The other difference relates to time. Americans are normally impatient. Deadlines in business contracts are strict and they must be met. Individuals will work for long hours to accomplish this and there is no easiness for delays. In India, in contrast, life goes at a slower speed. Indians view time more of circular than linear and relationship is more vital than deadlines.

By definition, Big Data can simply be termed as voluminous data. In more specific definitions, it can be termed as that which is large, complex and fast and a s a result, is not in a position to be processed using the typical traditional methods of data processing. The volume, variety, velocity, variability and veracity are used in the categorizing of data as big data. With the development in technology, and the continued incorporation of these technological sources into our day to day lives, the collected data through the Internet of Things among other information systems has resulted in big data (Ivanov, 2018). One such areas where Big data is found is in the social media platforms. As opposed to the olden days, currently, more and more people and companies are using social media daily to achieve their specific objectives and goals, it is estimated that social media platforms like Facebook produce data as big as 500+ terabytes in a s ingle day!
Most of these data in the social media are as a result of the videos, photos, messages and comments being shared across the media platforms. Not only do individuals use social media to keep in touch, but companies also use it in a concept called social media marketing. Through the media, and using big data analytics, companies are able to map out consumer behavior through what they like and what they share (Nicora, 2019). They use these platforms to reach their target audiences and at the same time use them to get feedback from their clients. As a result, the amount of data from social media platforms is not only voluminous, it is also heterogenous in the sense that it contains both nominal and numeral values from different places, it is variable in that it has unpredictable flow, it is fast because it is collected in real time. This qualifies the data to be Big Data and requires big data analytics to process.

In this step of the course project you will observe your organism and document its ecology using the multimedia format you chose in your
Week One Forum
. Ecology is the interaction of a living organism with the biotic (living) and abiotic (non-living) factors in the environment. You will document how your organism lives, works (gains energy), and generally interacts with the environment. Potential methods of documentation include photography, video, and audio recording. You should attempt to collect as much original media (photos, videos) on your organism as possible and then supplement with resources found on the web.
Please remember your research is about observing your organism, not interacting with it! Please use common sense and do not put yourself in a potentially dangerous environment or trespass when making your observations
.
Presentation requirements:
Your presentation will be submitted as a weblink that you have created either from building a Prezi presentation or a Screencast-o-matic (SOM) of a slide presentation. Instructions for creating and uploading your presentation for either Prezi or SOM are below.
If your presentation is a Prezi it must contain 10 – 20 elements (what we would call slides in power point). If your presentation is an SOM is must contain 12 – 20 slides and be no longer than 15 minutes in length.
There must be a visual element (photos. videos).
There must be a narrative component (audio or written narration).
You will submit this presentation to your classmates to review and discuss as a part of the

Depending on the type of organism you have chosen you will address different sets of questions. Please see the category that responds to your selection.
MICROORGANISMS:
I.
Organism Introduction
: your presentation must contain:
a. The common and scientific names of your organism
b. Where you observed your organism (e.g. country, state, park, zoo).
c. A discussion on why you selected this organism
d. If possible, a picture of you observing your organism
safely
in the field.
II.
Energy Ecology
: your presentation must address how does the organism obtains its energy. For example: what are its food sources, types of food, amount of food and/or the temporal pattern of feeding?
III.
Reproductive Ecology
: your presentation must address the reproductive strategies of your organism. For example, discuss how your microbe undergoes asexual reproduction.
IV.
Habitat
: your presentation must discuss where your organism lives. This does not refer to a city or state; rather it is the natural environment in which your organism lives. Some factors to consider when discussing habitat include abiotic factors like soil or water as well as biotic factors like predators, prey or hosts.

Abstract
The Campbell Soup Company was begun in the late 1860s as a partnership for canning vegetables, especially tomatoes. The company continued to grow, and it was an early adopter of radio and magazine advertising, which helped to promote Campbell Soup to new heights as one of the most well-known and loved American brands. After the turn of the millennium, there was a slowdown in growth. Over the past decade and more, despite the company’s giant size and revenues of $8 billion per year, revenues were lagging, losses were becoming the main return on investments in new strategies, and new products were failing. This situation did not occur overnight, but rather it was a changing environment along with discoveries of unethical behavior by the company. The turning point for Campbell Soup, and its downfall, was the repeated use of deception in marketing the taste, freshness and health of its products. This paper provides an overview and analysis of the case.
Introduction
The Campbell Soup Company was begun in the late 1860s as a partnership for canning vegetables, especially tomatoes (Shea & Mathis, 2002). Anderson & Campbell set up their operations in Camden, New Jersey, where there was a significant manufacturing presence, but their marketing was focused on images of gardens and fresh food (Shea & Mathis, 2002). In 1876 Anderson left the partnership, and many of Campbell’s relatives joined the venture (Shea & Mathis, 2002). Canned foods were still an emerging product form in America, however their popularity was growing as was the capacity to transport and distribute products over a vast area, even nationally (Shea & Mathis, 2002). The company continued to grow, and it was an early adopter of radio and magazine advertising, which helped to promote Campbell Soup to new heights as one of the most well-known and loved American brands (Shea & Mathis, 2002). The company went public in 1956 (Shea & Mathis, 2002). Campbell Soup continued to grow and expand it s product lines int eh latter half of the twentieth century, including the introduction of meals that could be prepared using soup as a base, rather than just selling the soup for soup (Shea & Mathis, 2002). After the turn of the millennium, there was a slow down in growth. Over the past decade and more, despite the company’s giant size and revenues of $8 billion per year, revenues were lagging, losses were becoming the main return on investments in new strategies, and new products were failing (Wiener-Bronner, 2018). Shareholders, of which descendants of the original founders represented about half of all shares, were at odds with more focused activist investors, and efforts were diverted into board level debates and battles, rather than corporate needs (Wiener.
