- 1. Risk assessment Risk Hazard Prevention Road – in two of my scenes, Oscar (actor playing protagonist) will have to walk down a road. When walking down a road there are many dangers including the presence of cars. If we aren’t being careful, a car accident could be possible. Try to limit the amount of time that Oscar is in the road. If any cars can be seen heading in our direction, I will alert Oscar so that he has plenty of time to get clear of the road. I will wear bright colours so that cars will see us in plenty of time. If anything bad does happen, I will follow appropriate safety measures. Use of bottles and glasses – in the party scenes people will be drinking out of bottles and glasses. The party scenes will involve dancing as well as drinking from bottles and glasses. The fast movement combined with glass increases probability of something getting smashed which could lead to injuries. Make sure to warn people to be careful with glasses and bottles. If anything does get smashed, it shall be cleaned up immediately in order to minimise risk of injury. If someone does cut themselves, appropriate safety measures will be followed (washing the cut and dressing it). Alcohol – in order to make the party scenes authentic, there will be consumption of alcohol. Consumption of alcohol could lead to people being less spatially aware and injuring themselves. Also, overconsumption could lead to illness. I will ensure that all of my cast are of legal drinking age (18 years old). Also, I will limit everyone to just one glass or bottle each which will only be used as props and drunk when necessary. This will minimise the risk of overconsumption of alcohol and injury caused from this.
