This risk assessment document identifies 5 risks children may face: being run over, dog attacks, falling trees or branches, stranger danger, and drowning. It provides recommendations to prevent each risk, such as looking both ways before crossing streets, not provoking dogs, avoiding swinging from trees, not talking to strangers unless necessary, and staying away from rivers when in town.

How to prevent risk:
1. Look both ways before crossing
(stop, look and listen)
2. Don’t wind the dogs up, and if
one comes towards you, stand
still and quiet.
3. No swinging on trees or
branches to at least attempt to
prevent this happening via our
own accord.
4. Don’t talk to strangers, unless
necessary. Especially if you
consider them to look
suspicious.
5. When in town, stay away from
the river.
