                                   Production log
10/09/12 today we Decided job roles for each member of our group and decided what each
person would then be given the task of doing under their new job role.

11/09/12 today we held a production meeting with each member of our group to discuss
the important aspects of the upcoming filming process. We arranged times, dates and came
up with solutions to the problem of needing actors. We also emailed Chris Gladwin to book
out equipment for filming dates.

13/0912 we created folder to hold our edits of the short film and started to set up the
software on Adobe Premiere Pro for when we have shot our film and need to start the
editing stages. We saved the documents to the local drive for convenience.

18/09/12 we created Practice Edits using footage of Chris Gladwin making a cup of tea. I
made two edits to practice continuity editing and montage editing. This will help for when
we make the short film. We then uploaded these to the blog.

21/09/12 we analysed and did a write up of the edits of videos that we each created in
order to learn more techniques for our actual project.

25/09/12 we completed filming schedules and looked at the roles that each member of the
team would be doing in order to set dates for filming

01/10/12 we decided on the idea of filming the advert for a college plant shop with Ian
Bocock from the horticulture class

03/10/12 we met and spoke with Ian Bocock, the head of the horticulture class and our
client for the project. He gave us a brief summary of what he would like the video to include
which we used as guidelines for planning our video.

06/10/12 we continued our plans for the project including what we will film and where we
will film it.

10/10/12 we went out and captured some rough shots of the flowers in the garden shop to
practice camera angles and get an idea of what we were working with.

14/10/12 we filmed a series of shots including a scene of us buying plants from the shop and
several cutaways inside the shop.

17/10/12 we finished our plan of what the film will look like

22/10/12 we finished our filming of the plants in the shop and uploaded the footage and
images onto the computers ready for editing.

25/10/12 We each set up a rough edit of the video and imported our chosen footage into
the document in order to make it look as close to a professional standard as we could.

29/10/12 we each continued to create our individual edits of the advert and spoke to Ian
about having a meeting with him tomorrow so that we can discuss concluding our filming
and completing the edits.

04/11/12 we managed to finish all our filming, document it, complete the rough edit and
get it up on the blog

06/11/12 we created a short evaluation of the rough edit and discussed how we could
improve it for the final edit.

08/11/12 we made a start on our final edit

12/11/12 we completed our final edits and uploaded them to blogger.

15/11/12 we created an evaluation to cover both our final outcome and the process we
went through during the pre-production stages.
