This document summarizes the results of a survey conducted in Ukraine from June 1-2, 2023 regarding Ukrainians' perceptions of how friendly other countries are toward Ukraine. The survey was commissioned by the Transatlantic Dialogue Center and had a sample size of 1,000 respondents across Ukraine, excluding occupied territories. The survey found that respondents viewed the US, Poland, and the UK as the most friendly countries, with Germany also viewed positively. China and Turkey were viewed as neutral, while Russia was viewed as hostile. Trend lines showed views becoming more positive toward Western countries and more negative toward China and Turkey over time.

o Audience: the population of Ukraine aged 18 and older in all regions, except for the temporarily occupied territories of
Crimea and Donbas, as well as the territories where Ukrainian mobile network was not available at the time of the
survey. The results are weighted using the current data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine
o The sample is representative in terms of age, gender, and type of settlement
o Sample population: 1000 respondents
o Survey method: CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing). Based on a random sample of mobile phone
numbers
o The margin of error of the study with the confidence interval of 0.95: does not exceed 3.1%.
o Dates of the survey: June 1-2, 2023
