Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
1- What does Dr. Jekyll think about people’s characters?
He believed that people have different sides to their
characters but they are not allowed to show them .
2- What did the wild –looking man do to the little girl?
He knocked the girl down, kicked her and stepped on her.
3- What was the strange thing that Jekyll did before the incident of the little girl?
He changed his will and left everything he owned to a man named Hyde.
4- What did the strange man think of lawyers?
They hide behind the police and law because they are too afraid to do anything
by themselves.
5- Why was Dr Lanyon worried about Dr Jekyll?
They hide behind the police and law because they are too
afraid to do anything by themselves.
6- Why did the police catch Dr. Jekyll and then let him go?
Because The witness woman told the police that Jekyll
was not the man she had seen.
7- What did Utterson want Dr. Jekyll to do with his will?
Utterson wanted Dr.Jekyll to change his will.
8- Why was Dr. Lanyon shocked when he returned from Dr
Jekyll’s laboratory?
Because. He saw another man, but he was Mr. Hyde.
2- Comment:
1. “Now let’s see What this medicine can do to a man’s
character”.
Dr. Jekyll said these words to himself when he was about
to drink the strange medicine in his laboratory
2. “I know you don’t have much money. let me pay for a doctor for her”.
Mr. Hyde said these words to the father of the little girl to
save himself when the crowd and the father chased and
surrounded him .
3- “Excuse me, are you a friend of Dr. Jekyll’s?”
Mr. Utterson said these words to Mr. Hyde when Mr.
Utterson walked to Dr.Jekyll’s house to worn him and
found Mr. Hyde through a door at the back..
4- “He doesn't sound like the kind of man you usually make
friends with"
Mr. Utterson said these words to Mr. Hyde when he asked
him about Mr. Hyde.
5- "I must say, you're a terribly rude man."
Mr. Carew said these words to Mr. Hyde when Mr. Carew
asked Hyde about a cab but he didn’t help him.
6- “He leaves and sometimes doesn’t come back.”
The old woman said these words to Utterson at
Hyde’s home when Utterson went to Hyde’s home to
persuade him to go to the police and confess him.
7- “Lanyon is an old fool. He never believed in my
ideas. He said I was young and full of emotions.”
Dr. Jekyll to utterson at Jekyll’s laboratory when they
were talking about Dr.Lanyon .He told him that
Lanyon was worried about Dr.Lanyon didn’t believe
in Jekyll’s idea as them.
8- “Dr. Lanyon, I need you to go to my laboratory
and get some medicine for you?”
Dr. Jekyll said these words to Dr. Lanyon when Dr.
Jekyll wanted Dr. Lanyon to help him and get him the
medicine from his house.
9- "Poole what are you doing here at this time?"
Utterson said these words to Poole when Poole
went to Utterson’s office to ask for his help.
