There are plenty of examples of continuity editing in Eternal sunshine, both temporal
and spatial are used. Discontinuity is used throughout the memory erasing scenes
with the deliberate use of ellipsis as Joel relives his memories in flashbacks. Some
of the shots from Joel s memories are put together in a montage edit; this is another
example of discontinuity editing. There are multiple uses of crosscutting in the film,
which is when there are a series of shots that keep cutting back and forth from one
shot to another shot, this occurs in a lot of the flashback scenes. Also there are

more to attain the continuity in the movement of shots. But a jump cut is deliberately
shot without using the 30 degree rule. Therefore when you put the shots together they
make a jump affect and it brakes up the continuity of the edit. In this case, Gondry
intentionally directed the crosscutting and jump cuts in order to express Joel s
reactions to the procedure. At the beginning of the film the editing picks up a rhythm

Lab Chemistry Lab Experiment
Throughout this lab, many different experiments were tested on the unknown white
compound. The first test ran was the Solubility Test, which was started by measuring
0.03g of the unknown substance. Next, measure out 60ml of distilled H2O and mix

NH4(X) + NaOH = NH3 + Na(X) + H2O, where X is the unknown anion. The first
step of this trial was to mix the measured unknown with the H2O. Once the
compound has dissolved, add the NaOH to the solution. By wafting over the
solution determining if an ammonia smell is present, if so the unknown compound
will contain ammonium. The trial was repeated three times and observations were
recorded. The next Cation/Anion experiment that was conducted was the Halide
Trial. This trial was conducted by taking 0.03g of unknown compound and creating
a solution with 1ml of distilled H2O. Then, 1ml of 6M HNO3, and 1ml of 0.1M

I have lived in Columbia for all my life. I have lived in two different houses in a
matter of fourteen years. There are some days that I want to forget because I hated
what I did that day, also, there are some days in Columbia that I will never forget.
For example, the day I moved was one of the best days of my life because now I
don t need to share a room with my brother. Also, seeing all the stuff we have had
in his garage that we have had for 14 years. When I was looking at all those stuff it
reminded me how special our old house was. One of my personal favorites was
when I was in 5th grade. At my school we had something called Safety patrol, and
that is where we come before and after school to tell the K 4 to stop running and to
walk to the playground or the bus. Usually, after school, I would go to my aunt s
work and it would be the best time. I got to see all the different things she does. She
gets to see people at the hospital, which I got to do 1 time and the patient was the
nicest in the world. She gave me 10 dollars to buy food of my choice and I got a
cheeseburger and fries for lunch. Since my aunt and my mom work at the hospital
usually after about 20 minutes I would go over to my mom s office and go and
finish my homework. Then I and my mom would go home. this really reflected on
my life because after going home I learned that even though people are not as safe

Ichabod Crane s adventure related in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow demonstrates
where someone s unchecked and undesirable personality traits can lead him.
Washington Irving wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in 1820. The story
describes how Ichabod Crane persistently frightened himself by supposing he saw
and heard supernatural beings. When Crane competed with Brom Bones for a lady s
love, Bones took advantage of Ichabod Cranes character flaws scaring him out of
town by impersonating the dreaded Headless Horseman. Ichabod Crane s greed,
superstition, and fearfulness resulted in his downfall. Ichabod Crane s greed
