IBS is a sharepoint based Integrated Application center which serves as a conduit point for all
similar Risk Systems across KPMG. This enables the High level management to access any
applications through the common IBS dashboard.
The KPMG application "Risk Systems" is based on the domain "Risk Compliance and
Governance". It is a domain wherein Risk inherent to the business can be tracked and mitigated
to optimize the business and improve profit.
The high level points within the Risk systems application are
1) Entity Management:
This component of the system provides KPMG the ability to have a database/ collection of all
prominent business across the world irrespective of whether KPMG has business with these
entities or not.

3. 2) Opportunity Management:
Once a client/ partner have been identified out of these entities, it becomes mandatory for the
KPMG business to initiate an opportunity with these entities. It enables them to evaluate this
partnership/ client in the long run for future business prospect in the concerned area of focus.
3) Engagement Management:
A specialized engagement with the client/ partner will be captured through this component of
the application for evaluation on business optimization.
4) Risk Tracking and Mitigation:
Every business/ engagement has an inherent risk attached to it. The success of a business lies
in mitigating these risks so that the business prospers and generates profitability. Every the
basic element of misappropriation and frauds and its minimization tends to improve business
engagements.
5) SAP BW Reports:
