for managing the Quality Control department and working as a liaison between production and traffic/account departments to
move large volumes of work through the process of collecting the job so it is out the door and at the vendors (I’m the last
person to inspect everything). Day-to-day tasks include checking all collected jobs from studio operators for image quality,
type, spelling, color issues, and checking how the job was collected. I specialize in being the right arm of the studio manager
by pushing the work hour-by-hour through the process and keeping the work flowing so the manager can concentrate on other

for managing the day-to-day operation of both the Desktop Publishing Studio/Retouching and the Flash Production Studio.
Work closely with Traffic, Project Management & Creative Departments to determine production needs and manage
production resources to deliver assignments in a timely and accurate manner. Work with Creative Directors and Art Directors
to obtain approvals and assure the highest quality of all final production materials. Interact closely with Print & Online
Production and Traffic Departments to help develop schedules, workload planning and production methodologies. Additional
responsibilities include working with the Tech Department on all computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, etc. to
make sure all equipment runs smoothly and work flow is not interrupted. Maintain all department employee timesheets,
vacation schedules and performance reviews. Supervise Quality Control within the department. •Staffing of freelancers from

Worldwide, responsible for interacting with production and account for the studio/PrePress department. My main
responsibilities in QC were to thoroughly go thru every document (Quark/Indesign/Illustrator/Photoshop) and check for
spelling, colors, spacing, links and artwork etc. using Flightcheck and Preflight in Indesign. My responsibilities as a Client
Lead were to make sure in a PreProduction meeting that everything for a project was ready to go into prepress/studio, (i.e., art
director files, colors, spec sheets, schedules and artwork), provided status on all projects to account and production.
October 1994 - March 2003: Studio Manager (second shift) Deutsch Inc.
Advertising, (Interpublic Group of Companies), 111 Eighth Avenue, New
York, NY •Managed agency studio overseeing production and delivery of all general, direct and promotional material.
Managed full time studio staff of 16 graphic artists and high-end retouchers, with one other manager. •Coordinated all new
business production to ensure creation and delivery of presentation material within a set deadline. •Managed all
inventory/supplies. •Modernized a traditional studio to produce a digital state of the art studio. •Used Flightcheck to QC
(quality control) all jobs going out to vendors, clients etc. •Worked with internal technology group to evaluate, implement and
train staff on new software. •Converted studio to revenue producing profit center. Studio revenue was $2.5 million at year-end
