        business case and target market plan; product distribution strategy; marketing strategy;
order management process with the ultimate goal to increase sales of Avaya SME
        products.

        Senior Business Development Manager

As part of the acquisition of Nortel Enterprise assets, I moved to Avaya in the position of
SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) Business Development Manager with
responsibilities to secure and maintain sales and revenue of heritage Nortel products
and to develop the major service providers to transition from Nortel to Avaya. The
transition of these market channels, and to secure continued revenue of Nortel assets
was a major business development effort. I also continued as product manager to drive

Day to day activity consisted of support of these Partners and to organize and manage

Nortel Networks

       Product Manager

Transferred from pre-sales engineering into SMB product group as a Product Manager
specializing in communications applications, convergence and routing. Responsible for
the product specification; successful development; supply chain direction; sales support
of SMB products including Router, SIP applications, and general communications
application and security appliances to the market.

       Sales Engineering Lead

I moved from Boise to Seattle to accept a Sales Engineering position in the Seattle office.
I was promoted to the SE Manager within a few months after arriving at the facility. My
duties included the management of the technical sales team for the Seattle, Idaho,
Montana, and Alaska markets. This included team leadership as well as developing the
technical aspects of all enterprise customer sales plans. During this time I maintained
my technical expertise and developed additional knowledge in the Converged
       Voice/Data technologies.

After the downturn of the technology industry in 2000 and 2001, Nortel was forced to
reduce staff. As a result the majority of the sales engineers were laid off and I assumed
the duties of a pre-sales engineer in the converged space as the lead engineer in the
Seattle Office. In this position I had pre-sales responsibility for the largest accounts in
the Pacific Northwest region, such as Microsoft, Boeing, State of Washington
Government and Education as well as others. My responsibilities were to drive sales of
voice and data equipment to major direct touch accounts and to position Nortel’s
       Converged Network vision.

       Senior Systems/Sales Engineer

Hired into Nortel after Morrison Knudsen to assist in the opening of the Boise Idaho
Sales office. I was selected due to my intimate knowledge of the Bay Networks product
line. My duties included the support, design and consulting services to Nortel customers
in a pre-sale capacity. My specialty was converged voice and data; ATM and multi-
       service integration.

                                                                                    Milpitas, CA 95035
                                                             408-834-7210 (home) 832-766-4315 (cellular)
                                                                  408-562-3410 (office) ron@callan.name
My duties included the management of the user and technical support organization for
the corporate office of Morrison Knudsen Corporation. I was responsible for the
management of the telephone systems for the Western United States and was the lead
manager and architect of the ATM infrastructure implementation effort. This effort was
to provide ATM communications (LAN and WAN) for all MK’s office locations and job
        sites within the United States.

The ATM infrastructure design and implementation effort provided an ATM network for
the corporate office complex and a building model for all MK’s remote facilities.

I also managed the Corporate IS support staff of 11 personnel providing direct support
for 200+ workstations and technical direction and support for 600+ workstations in the
        region.

St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center

        Communication Manager, Information services

During the year of 1992 St. Luke’s information services was revamped and changed
management. I was hired shortly thereafter to design and install a local and wide area
network for the hospital campus. During the next 2.5 years, I redesigned the existing
network and transformed it from a single Thick-Net Ethernet segment with multiple
wiring plants for the various minis and PCs, into a structured switched Ethernet
environment throughout the Hospital and all campus facilities. This network consisted
of an ATM backbone with switched Ethernet to all intermediate distribution locations on
the campus. The ATM backbone was expanded, via public network (OC/3 circuit via US
West) to include off-site locations. In addition, I was responsible for the standardization
of workstation and server operating systems and platforms, as well as all office
automation products. (This network was nominated and subsequently awarded one of
the top 10 best networked hospitals in the United Stated for the year of 1995 by
Healthcare Infomatics, a health care information technology magazine).

In late 1995 I was promoted to communications manager. My network responsibilities
remained and I also became responsible for all communications systems, including
voice, pager, overhead, radio, cellular and other communications services in the hospital
        and its facilities.

St. Luke’s maintained several server platforms as well as AT&T (Lucent) PBX and key
systems throughout the facility. I was responsible for the technical direction of most of
these systems during my tenor at the Hospital.

                                                                                   Milpitas, CA 95035
