PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
FORTERRA May 2015 through January 2017
Forterra, formerly Hanson Building Products, one of the largest manufacturers of heavy building
products for the construction industry. Implemented stand-alone IT Infrastructure as Forterra divested
from the umbrella, and IT services, of the former parent company. This included –

 End User Computing (SCCM, GPOs, ADDM…)
I was also responsible for moving the corporate HQ during this time.
DEX MEDIA May 1988 through May 2015
Dex Media, formerly SuperMedia, Verizon Directories, and GTE Directories, is the leading provider of
Marketing Solutions to Small and Medium sized businesses (SMB’s).
I held increasingly senior positions of responsibility in Dex (& heritage companies) IT Infrastructure
environment. Demonstrated technology and fiscal acumen, team leadership, and big-picture vision.
AVP - IT Infrastructure 2003 through May 2015
Responsible for all IT Infrastructure, including Network/Telecom, Data Center including DR CoLo site, Help
Desk, Desktop administration and Field Services, Messaging, and Server administration.

2.  Security focus (virus protection, policy of least permissions, patch management) resulting in avoidance of
any major IT security incident;
 Rollout of ~1,500 iPads to Field Sales;
 Implementation of VOIP enterprise-wide;
 Restructuring of both BC and DR plans and DR Infrastructure;
 ISO 20000-1 Certification of Data Center Operations, SOX s404 compliance, PCI Assessment;
 Implemented and met increasingly aggressive internal SLA goals;
 Achieved “more with less”, managing increasing workload with 48% less FTE’s vs. 2004.
Manager – End User Computing 1997 through 2003
Managed all aspects of Desktop Support; Change Management; and Electronic Messaging support. Managed
outsourced break-fix providers (including CompuCom, Entex, and Siemens).
 Transitioned desk side break-fix from an outsourced per-ticket model to in-sourced;
 Deployed Microsoft SMS, which allowed electronic distribution of software (previously performed desk-side
by Field Support personnel);
 Instituted Desktop Support Intranet presence, including online order forms for employees, software
information for Field Support, and much more;
 Standardization of all Desktop hardware, software, and support processes between the two legacy
companies (GTE Directories and Bell Atlantic Yellow Pages);
 Rollout of Windows NT (replacing Win 95) and of XP.
Manager – IT Help Desk 1995 through 1997
Responsible for all functions of the internal IT Help Desk.
• Staff management (17 direct reports);
• Automation, including SYMON information displays throughout the country;
• Implementation of Remedy Trouble Tracking system, online processes and process re-engineering;
• Outsourcing of the Help Desk to GTE Data Services.
IT Account Manager 1991 through 1995
A “liaison” position between IT and senior business management. Responsible for enhancement of
communication between IT and the business, escalations, process improvement, and SLA management.
Programmer – International Systems 1988 through 1991
Responsible for all aspects of support of GTE Directories’ International Yellow Page Support applications.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
HEB teen court - This is a program where teens convicted of misdemeanors can elect to have their case
heard by a peer (teen) jury. If the teen completes the required sentence (of community service) then the
ticket is struck from their record. I volunteer as a Master Jury Monitor, presiding over the jury of teen

3. volunteers, and assist the jury with assessment of punishment, instruct the jury on procedures, and execute
the required paperwork.
Food bank – I initiated, and run on an ongoing basis, a program where each month friends and
acquaintances buy extra food when they shop. Monthly I pick up all the accumulated food and deliver it to
the HEB-ISD Family Services Food Pantry.
Homeowners’ Association – I have volunteered on the Board of Directors since 2004, initially as VP, and
more recently as President. This position is responsible for all facets of the community including
management of suppliers, repair of common property, dispute resolution, as well as dues assessment.
Cub Scouts - I serve as Treasurer for Cub Scout pack 363, responsible for banking, payments, and dues.
In addition I am the fundraising coordinator, responsible for annual popcorn sales, car-washes, and the like.
I volunteer annually with River Legacy Nature Center, the Trinity River “Trash Bash”, and the City of Euless
Trash Pickup. I contribute financially on a regular basis to various deserving organizations.
