Sourcing candidates is a critical task for ManpowerGroup. In present system,
ManpowerGroup receives candidate data via own portal, job postings to external sites (handled by
Broadbean) and walk-ins to the offices. If the pool of candidates in ManpowerGroup database is not
sufficient enough to cater to the job orders, user manually sources the candidates by visiting job
boards of her own choice. One stop search is a functionality being designed to help user source

3. candidates from selected job boards as well as internal candidate data repositories (e.g. Direct
Talent. Inclusion of internal data repositories in OSS / SOSS is still being discussed by the clients and
final decision will be taken after client confirmation) by using a single (i.e. one stop) portal.
Project Description
ManpowerGroup presently has a sophisticated system comprising DO (Direct Office) and
FOX that ingest new candidates into their respective databases, search for the relevant
candidates based on various search criteria, and help recruiters connect with the prospects
for pursuing their application for a job orders. It also has an ecosystem of third party tools in
place that help post job advertisements on various job boards, source resumes from these
portals, on-boards selected candidates and track their professional records throughout their
career as described in the red outline in the workflow.
The GSM solution fits into the whole composite at the heart of it by providing an API based
interface to the DO and FOX front-ends described in the blue outline in the workflow.
Functionalities of GSM are:

DDS developed with the main objective of providing Uniform data storage system,
to provide high performance while reading, inserting, deleting, and modifying the data, to provide a
high available system for important data and to serve multiple requests at the same time. DDS is
deployed in the cluster to enable load balancing and provide high availability. Any data which is of
high importance is stored in multiple repositories so that even if one repository goes down the data is
made available through the other, these repositories which hold the replicated data are always

Module 1 : User Management.

mChq data. By personalization we mean the addition, deletion and modification of
data of the user in User Management. User Management module enables the Admin
to create new admin and user, enter days for aging password menu, and view user
logs. The Admin is entitled to assign roles for users as admin, manager and user.
The user is entitled to view, edit and delete ones own record. The main feature of this
module is the aging password menu that enables the user to keep the password
secure. It does not allow the user to repeat the previously used five passwords.
Module 2 : Wireless Gateway UI.
This module enables addition, deletion and modification of Operators. WG UI
module enables the Admin to create new admin and user, modify the user’s details/
password/ roles and view user logs. The Admin is entitled to assign roles for users as
admin, manager and user. The user is entitled to view, edit and delete
user’s/operator records. The main feature of this module is that it supports SMPP,
Router and WG services at the back end.
Module 3 : HelpDesk.
Help Desk module helps the user to create new customer registration, new
