Description of the Project:
Staples, Inc. is a large office supply chain store, with over 2,000 stores worldwide in 26 countries.
Enterprise Package Tracking System (EPTS) : Created rest service for package tracking which in calls different carriers in
real time to get tracking information. Also created UI using Angular Js for the UI part.
Scan Processor : It has spring Rabbit MQ subscribers which process the events pushed by the batch application. These
subscribers again push the various events to other queues which in turn are processed be a set of different publishers.
Notification System : Used Spring Batch to create job to process files containing list of customers to be notified by email.
These batch jobs were triggered periodically and controlled by cron expressions. Additionally, Created some admin UI pages
using Angular Js framework.
IVRS Routing system is a system which calculates if the customer’s call be handled at onshore of offshore center based on
different parameters. This functionality was exposed as a Spring SOAP web service.
AMH Application: This is responsible for tracking the discounts provided by certain suppliers to certain customers and
publish monthly reports for the sales team.
Hadoop Scoop POC : In this POC, I migrated the table data from Microsoft SQL server 2008 to the HDFS (running in
