Title: Sourcing Plan of Yian Auto Parts Manufacturer December 2015 – January 2016
The purpose of the project was to optimize the original sourcing plan for Yian Auto Parts Manufacturer, which is a
small Chinese manufacturer produces rubber dust-proofauto parts for almost 10 years. The new sourcing plan was
designed by using the Excel solver based on historical demands data, lead time and various costs.
Changed sourcing plan to up-to-level sourcing plan, resulting in less stockouts of main raw materials
Reduced 10% holding costs ofraw materials and the labor costs ofstorage also dropped down.
Reduced costs ofexpedited shipping of delay orders due to stockout of raw materials
