January 2013- Present
Employee Relations Specialist Intern
Opportunities, Inc. is a not-for-profit three-part company. Opportunities, Inc. provides vocational training, assessment,
evaluation, and school options for individuals with disabilities. Operational services include Staffing Employment,
Packaging and Assembly, and Print Services in Wisconsin.
ā¢ Currently, I am in the process of creating a more efficient way of keeping track of all active unemployment
claims, as well as a way for other staff members to access this information, in hope of reducing the amount of
unemployment claims.
ā¢ Is solely responsible for Unemployment Compensation Insurance. With this, I conducted a training of more than
15 staff members to make documenting and understanding Unemployment Compensation easier to understand.
ā¢ In a team of 4, we worked at creating a healthier work environment by providing healthier vending machine
options, and made the staff members aware of their health by creating a friendly competition. For the friendly
competition, I was responsible for keeping track of each teamās minutes of activity each week. I provided
updates, in a timely manner. I also created a more time efficient system for keeping track of the data for future
usage.
ā¢ In a team of 4, we made it a goal to always have safety awareness in a prominent light. For one month, we
provided feedback, as well as friendly competition to see which company plant is truly watching out for any
safety hazards and ways to eliminate them. I was responsible for creating the safety questions, asking the safety
questions, as well as keeping track of the teamās points.
Wellers/Knilans Front Desk, Whitewater, Wisconsin
August 2011- Present
Front Desk Attendant
Wellers/Knilans are just 2 of the 15 residence halls available on campus. The residence halls provide a safe learning and
living environment to over 4,000 students. Each residence hall comes with a front desk, which is also staffed by students.
This job is only during the school year.
ā¢ After my first year, I was hired on for the next year. I did have Work Study these two years; the hiring managers
give first priority to Work Study students.
ā¢ After my second year, I knew I would not be getting Work Study again. However, because it was my third year,
and I had done an exceptional job the past two years, my supervisor wanted me to come back on their payroll,
rather than Work Study.
UW-Whitewater Graduate Studies, Whitewater, Wisconsin
October 2012- May 2013
Research Assistant
The Graduate Studies office was in need of a specific worker to solely focus on a research project. The research project
primarily focused on the STEM program offered at UW-Whitewater. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematical program had noticed a terrible trend, and wanted to apply for a grant to better it. In order to do so,
research needed to be conducted.
ā¢ In one month, I had to learn how to use a completely unfamiliar data analysis program and successfully conduct
analysis on over 1000 studentās university course history.
ā¢ I successfully conducted over 20 different data analysis to my supervisor for him to look over, analyze and
critique on what to use for the grant.

As one of the countryās finest zoological attractions, the Milwaukee County Zoo is home to over 2,000 mammals, birds,
fish, amphibians and reptiles in specialized habitats. I worked in the Merchandising department, which consists of two
main gift shops, and over 9 outdoor gift shops located throughout the 200 wooded acres.
ā¢ After my first summer, I was asked to come back the next summer. When I came back, I was promoted to a Lead.
This was truly an accomplishment, as there are many employees who have yet to work their way up yet.
ā¢ During my 2nd summer, I did an entire warehouse inventory with only one other person in one week. I also was
one of the go-to people for many of the employees when they needed help.
ā¢ Because of my extraordinary accomplishments my 2 nd summer with the inventory, and the other workers, I was
promoted to a Supervisor my 3rd summer back. During this summer, I supervised as many as 22 employees on
any given day, with a total of 46 different employees during the entire summer. I also created an easier way to
take inventory on our name inventory items, whereas before it was a mess to find specific names.

on the amount of referrals I reached for that year.
