This document provides an overview of the Responsive NCRC project. The project aims to design and prototype a responsive, collaborative workspace for the University of Michigan's new NCRC facility. Sensors will measure human activity and speech through infrared grids and microphones to visualize "honest signals" of collaboration on an LED light display. The plan is to purchase basic equipment, adapt Arduino code from musical visualizations to react to the sensors, and collaborate with architecture students on fabrication.
