Respecting Other People’s
Beliefs
Do you know someone whose
religion is different from yours?
What are some of their religious
practices?
Learning to respect other people’s
religion is very important. It may be the
key to peace in the world-especially
global peace.
• People belong to different religions.
This means that they also believe in
and practice different things.
• The way they think or do things may
be different from ours. This is why
having respect for people and their
beliefs is very important.

religions. It states, “ Do to others
what you would have them do to
you.”

treat others the way we want them
to treat us.
