God created the world we
live in. He filled it with living and
nonliving things. He filed it with
life and beauty.
Everything is in harmony. As God’s
creation, we are responsible for maintaining
this harmony.
In the beginning, heaven and earth were created
by God.
On the first day, God said, “Let there be light,’ and
there was light. God separated light from
darkness. He called it day and night.
On the second day, God separated water
and made the sky,
On the third day, God made land and the
seas.
On the fourth day, God made the sun, the
moon, and the stars.
On the fifth day, God made the creatures that were
to live in the water. He also made animals that were to fly
in the sky.
On the sixth day, God made all the animals that
were to live the ground. Then God said, “I shall make
man in my image. I shall make man to rule over all the
things that I have created.”
So God created man in his own image. He created them-
male and female.
On the seventh day, God rested from His work. He
blessed that day and made it holy.
Go created all living things. He
created them as a complement of
each other. This means that they exist
in harmony.
