1) Various prostaglandin inhibitors were administered to female red-sided garter snakes to measure their effects on male attraction to females and estrogen levels.
2) The inhibitors had no significant effect on mating behavior or male courtship compared to the control. However, two females treated with the prostaglandin inhibitor indomethacin had lower estrogen levels than other treated females.
3) While most results were inconclusive, treatment with the inhibitor indomethacin may have suppressed estrogen levels in some females, warranting further study of its impact.
