The Fulbright program allowed the scholars to: 1) Refine their research and make valuable professional and personal connections through face-to-face interactions in France that would be difficult to achieve otherwise. 2) Strengthen existing collaborations and form new international research partnerships and friendships. 3) Experience French culture both scientifically and personally in a way that changed their perspectives.
