                                           Army Rangers

There is strong and then there is army strong! These words ring in every Americans heart and

every American this slogan is meant for the United States Army. The Army is for the few strong

men and women who are willing to serve and protect our great country, but not all men and

women are strong enough to be truly army strong. The army is a very versatile group composed

of the best soldiers. One of these groups is called the special forces group called the Army

Rangers. They endure stress no regular human can endure go to place we only can imagine and

they do it all for there great country that they love endlessly. They are the best because of their

training, technology, experience, their history, what they are specialized in, and the men and

women who serve in this special force.

To be qualified to even sign up for any branch of the military. It is usually a two day

process where you go down to MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) center. Here you

take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) this test a soldier’s common

knowledge. Then you take the TAPAS which checks to make sure you physiologically prepared

to fight. Also you will take a hearing, physical, vision, and drug test to make sure you are strong

and healthy enough to fight. If you fail any of these test you will not be allowed to enter the

armed forces.

The Army Rangers training is 91 one days of pure brutality designed to weed out the

weak. First is basic training which is only a few weeks of pain and torture. Nest is infantry

school where they tear you down and build you back as a soldier. Then there’s airborne school

where you are taught to jump out of aircrafts safely. Last if you make it the brutality and if your

not weeded out if you have the heart then you get to go through ranger school. Here they strip

you down to the bone and make you a pure fighting machine a soldier. If you don’t haven your

heart it in your heart to succeed to be the best you wont you will break and fail, but training is

only 90% of the soldier technology is what wins a war.

The Army Rangers technology is very advanced from there standard clothing to there

weapons and high technologic gear. The main weapon of the Army Ranger is the M4a1 assault

rifle it uses a 5.56 millimeter round. The army started using this assault rifle as there primary

weapon in 1994 and still use it today in the war against Afghanistan. This rifle can be equipped

with a red dot laser sight, a scope, grenade launcher, pistol grip to improve accuracy, LED light,

and other attachments that make this gun very versatile. They also use the famous Beretta m9

9millimeter hand gun. This has been used since the conflict in Panama. They also have a variety

of tanks used to push enemy lines back and move our troops up safely. Also the variety of air

crafts like the AC-130 is used for supreme fire power and Rangers jump out of these into battler

along with the black hawk. They also use thermal and night vision and they are armored with

armor that is advanced enough to stop a grenade called dragon scales.

The army Rangers are the best of the best because all these factors plus its history makes

it a very experienced group. The Army Rangers can date back to 1676 in King Philips war. They

even fought in the French and Indian war, the war of 1812, the American Revolution and the

American Civil war. Also the Rangers fought in WW2 this is where the Rangers became

airborne. They have also been deployed and fought in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

The Army Rangers have participated in the operations: Urgent Furry, Just Cause, Desert Storm,
Burkman 3

Restore hope, and Enduring Freedom. They have also helped with conflicts in Panama and

Grenada. They are experienced because they have fought in many situations both foreign and

domestic. They also have fought in many different climates and habitats they have passed down

the training to withstand all these situations. This makes the Rangers an elite well rounded group

making them the best.

What are the Rangers? They are a special forces group that any soldier from any branch

of the military can join. They are a light infantry group that is part of the United States Army

Special Operation Command. The purpose of a light infantry group is to go ahead of everyone

else and contain the enemy from making any advances. This is why you commonly hear the

saying “Rangers lead the way” when talking about the Rangers. They fly in on airplanes or

helicopters and parachute or rappel out. They are dropped into the middle of battle. They have to

endure high stressed missions with heavy attacks with a small team. They use there training to

hold back hundreds and hundreds of enemies. They endure intense stressed and are trained to

take this stress and work efficiently through the pressure, and the Ranger training allows them to

do this effectively

        “I am an American Soldier.

I am a warrior and a member of a team.

I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.

I will always place the mission first.

I will never accept defeat.

I will never quit.

I will never leave a fallen comrade.
Burkman 4

I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and
drills.

I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.

I am an expert and I am a professional.

I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in
close combat.

I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.

I am an American Soldier”.

This is the soldiers creed every American soldier will recite this creed ad follow it word by word.

The army rangers are not for the weak or feint hearted, and you have to be prepare for anything

and everything. If they are not prepared they will fail they make training where every man will

have to dig deep with in and find the strength to over come and adapt. That is what this United

States soldier creeds says. No matter what they are soldiers to the end serving one purpose

protect the united states.

The Army Rangers are one of the elite special forces group in the whole entire world.

They are well equipped with advanced technology and there training is advanced and intense to

make true soldiers. They are trained to work under intense pressure and extreme environments’,

and under these conditions they execute there mission perfectly or few to no flaws. They have

experience in multiple conflicts through the world, and go through training no other job in the

military requires. They are one of the best of the best special forces group.
