This report details the design, construction, and testing of a custom vibration testing machine built for Rocky Mountain Bicycles. The machine was modeled after a Junkers vibration testing machine and aims to test various fasteners used in mountain bike frames under transverse vibration. Different fastener designs, locking compounds, and other solutions were to be compared on the machine. It was constructed to accommodate various fastener sizes and includes an adjustable double eccentric shaft to vary vibration amplitude. Initial testing produced usable results comparing dry, greased, and loctited bolts. Further testing of integrated locking fasteners was planned but unable to be completed within the work term. The machine fulfilled its objectives to reliably test fasteners and identify solutions to prevent
