2. Friday, 12th
January 2018: The expert lecture organised by the AI-ARKP
authorities was successfully held in the Computer Department Room #205 with
much enthusiasm. Presenter Mr. Umar Farooque, who is also a lecturer in the
institute, fully exercised his skill repertoire accompanied with beautiful graphical
slides and stellar vocal presentation.
The audience were a bit sceptic at first and weren’t, according to testimonials,
“interested” but owing to Mr. Umar’s witty humor, they were always on their
toes. Mr. Umar shed light on the whole NBA, or National Board Accreditation,
process and the students were also enlightened about the benefits they can
receive if, of course, the institute qualifies.
“ Accreditation from a reputable organization is one good way to check the
quality of a performing institute. Accreditation organizations evaluate the
quality standards of the institute’s teaching, faculty, services, and students,
among other things.
It judges the quality of their strategy, mission, faculty, students, curriculum,
and assessment.”
Among the benefits that comes after being accredited includes but is not
limited to:
 Facilitates continuous Quality Improvement
 Improves staff morale.

3.  Priority in getting financial assistance.
 Helps the Institution to know its strengths, weaknesses and
opportunities.
 Gives Institutions a new sense of direction and identity.
Last ,but not the least, the senior lecturer also edified the assistance needed
from the students’ side to achieve the goal. Amazingly, it was quite simple:

POLYTECHNIC THAT OTHERS WOULD WISH TO
EMULATE .❞
Learn this. Yes, it is this simple. With this he concluded the assembly and the
students were left to tour with something new in their minds; a vision, a mission
and, a future of the very best calibre.
