This document summarizes an article titled "Increasing Returns and Long-Run Growth" by Paul M. Romer. It proposes an alternative model of long-run economic growth where knowledge, rather than physical capital, is the main driver of growth. Knowledge exhibits increasing marginal returns in production but decreasing returns in research and development. This allows for perpetual economic growth without limits in a competitive market equilibrium framework. The model overturns conventional assumptions that growth rates decrease and countries converge over time by introducing externalities from new knowledge and increasing rather than diminishing returns to knowledge accumulation.

gioco
onirismo
Giocattoli Da sua stessa
animati e ammissione, molti suoi
disegni collage lavori sono elaborazioni
abbozzati. dei suoi sogni.
Inoltre propone Ci troviamo spesso
anima e cavalca o
un rubinetto dal
quale sgorga
acqua fatta da
carte di caramelle.
(vedi collage di Gondry)
6. E’ scontato che
l’astrattismo, con
un tema come il
sogno, sia un altro
concetto base del
film. In più, la
pellicola riporta un
ulteriore aspetto
della video arte:
viene palesato il
mezzo. In questo
caso in modo
originale: il mondo
viene visto dalla
finestra di uno studio
tv. Lo studio è la
mente di Stephane.
La finestra i suoi occhi.
7. Gondry si permette
anche di giocare
con il pubblico.
Si autocita in
Stephane quando
suona la batteria.
Richiama il regista
Fritz Lang con il suo
Metropolis e,
tramite le invenzioni
del protagonista,
un marchingegno
che permette di
collegare un cervello
ad un altro.
8. Come accennato all’ inizio
nelle poche righe biografiche
su Gondry,
Science of Sleep non è la
sua unica opera artistica.
Il suo incontro collaborativo con
la cantante Bjork fu la chiave
di volta della sua carriera:
entrò nel grande circuito
videomusicale dando
sfogo alla sua vena
creativa.
(Bjork) E con ottimi risultati:
riuscì ad inserire nel mondo dei
videoclip elementi e concetti
già proposti dalla videoarte.
(Stephane)
9. Emblematica è la rete di relazioni
che si instaurano per il film
Human Nature.
Diretto sempre da Gondry, anima
una commedia in cui ci illustra
la sua visione frenetica
sul rapporto tra
l’uomo e la
natura.
10. Ci troviamo di
fronte ad una
pellicola dove gli
attori spesso
cantano,
avvicinandosi
alla categoria del
musical.
La scena che sopra
ho linkato, oltre ad
avere tutto per
essere considerata
un videoclip, ha nella
scenografia continue
allusioni al video
“Human Behavior”
di Bjork.
11. Inutile precisare
che il v-clip sia stato
diretto dal francese,
dove qui presenta
anche il tema della
favola.
La scenografia
(realizzata con cartoni
volutamente “finti”) e
alcuni effetti usati
come sovrapposizioni
e animazioni in stop
motion, rendono il
video quasi tattile.
L’orso cattivo, un
peluche, è un altro
paradosso che vuol
far pensare sul con-
flitto uomo-natura.
raccolto quanto seminato,
riscuotendo bassi incassi al
botteghino (eccezion fatta per
“Eternal Sunshine”).
Proprio come il destino di molti
videoartisti: non un grande
successo commerciale.
Ma è altrettanto giusto che abbia
riscosso enorme successo nei
videoclip, con le notevoli e
numerose collaborazioni (Chemical
Brothers, Daftpunk, Foo fighters, Radiohead, Rol-
ling Stone, White Stripes tanto per citarne alcuni)
