Fact: Although physical abuse is one of the types of child abuse, emotional abuse
damages the inner self of a child and the effects are long lasting.
MYTH #2: “Only bad people abuse their children.” (helpguide.org)
Fact: Its not true that only bad people abuse their children because many people who end
up being abusive parents are people who have experienced it themselves. Meanwhile,
some may also have addiction problems as well as mental health issues which cause them
to be abusive towards their children. Its easy to label “bad” but its important to inquire
why because the reasons are way deeper then what appears to our naked eye.

Fact: Child abuse could happen in all types of families from different cultures, racial
backgrounds and more. Many times we label a family as a good family but there might be
hidden stories that we may not be aware of and it has nothing to do with good or bad

Fact: There a lot of abuse that happens by strangers yet a lot of abuse could be caused by
