2. CAJAS NATIONAL PARK
This is a national park in the highlands of Ecuador. It is located about 30 km west from
Cuenca, the capital of the province of Azuay.
It was declared a National Park on November 5, 1996.

3. INGAPIRCA
These are the largest known Inca ruins in Ecuador. The most significant Temple of the Sun
In Cañar Province, Ecuador, and the name of the older Inca ruins and archeological site nearby.

4. VOLCAN CHIMBORAZO
The elevation of 6,268 metres (20,564 ft), Chimborazo is the highest mountain in Ecuador.
Is a inactive stratovolcano in the Cordillera Occidental range of the Andes.

5. MINDO
From tourists activities, in the Mindo is among the most heavily visited locations in Ecuador. Nearly
200,000 tourists visit the area annually to enjoy activities such as rafting, tubing, trekking, mountain
biking, canyoning, horseback riding, birdwatching, and herping.

6. SAN PABLO LAKE
Is one more of the beautiful areas in the province of Imbabura, 4 km west of the town of Otavalo
and 2670 meters over sea level.
San Pablo is an ecosystem that includes some representative species such as herons, ducks,
some amphibians and many aquatic plants.

7. TEXTILE MARKET IN OTAVALO
Otavalo Market is one of the most popular Ecuador tourist attractions.
The market is full of brightly-coloured, woven craftwork and the indigenous people of Otavalo wear
their traditional costume on a daily basis.

8. PEGUCHE WATERFALL FOREST PROTECTION
This beautiful 50 ft. (18 m) waterfall is considered as an Indigenous Ceremonial Site due to the
purification baths held here a couple days prior the Inti Raymi celebration (Sun and harvest
celebration, June 21st).

9. CUICOCHA LAKE
Is a 3 km wide caldera and crater lake at the foot of Cotacachi Volcano in the Cordillera Occidental
of the Ecuadorian Andes.

10. POLYLEPIS LODGE

The cemetery Jose Maria Azael Franco Guerrero, a detailed work in the Ecuadorian highlands.

12. IBARRA RAILWAY
This traditional route was once of great commercial importance to Ecuador; the northern part of the
country has always been famous for its textile production and the train was once used to transport
these materials throughout the country.
