Reflection Paper About Myself
3 years ago, I was in grade 10. Back then, my life and personality were gravitating around 3 main things: books, academics, and competitions. I never
really took the time to think about "ME", what only mattered at that time was academic accomplishment and recognition. But today, I am constantly
thriving to be a better version of myself through reflections, readings, meditation, and yoga. Now that I am a 19–year–old girl, I see myself as a silent
thinker and dreamer. I perceive the world as a black and white movie where positive thoughts, diverse ideas, and authentic selves give it colors and
sound. Although I am often times quiet and reserved, I remember having a conversation one day with my teacher and he said: "You have the soul
of a grandmother" Well, I believe that to be true due to some of the challenging experiences life has put me through and that has made me a
stronger and mature person. And that is why I have also learnt the importance of always being kind and to spread love around you. If I am not
going to school, most of my days consist of reading, watching documentaries, working on business ideas, learning German and playing general
knowledge games. I also like to put myself in environments where I get to interact with people from different backgrounds. That always enabled me
to learn a lot about myself and others. Five years from now, if I get to be asked the same question again, I am convinced that half of my answer will
change too. Not only will I say that I

My Life As A College Student Essay
Over the course of the last semester, I grew tremendously, not just as a writer but as a student. I learned skills and tactics that will last me
throughout my life and will benefit me once I begin the next four years of my life as a college student. This early gateway into college writing
provided me with exposure to the expectations that I will face in the college classroom. This will come in handy in the English classroom, as well as
in every subject I will face over the course of the next four years, and beyond. Writing is a key skill that communicates ideas and information, and is
essential to being successful. Whether I go into the music industry or find myself in a completely unforeseen career, it is certain that I will use my
writing skills at some point. This class sharpened those skills and prepared me for the future in ways no high school english class could. This class
has challenged me to think more in depth than I ever have before. It forced me to use my writing as a means of expressing knowledge, ideas, and
facts in a clear organized manner. In order to accomplish the goals of each paper assigned, I found new ways to present the same information. For
example, in every essay I included the theme that governments should be more involved in the fight against cyber warfare. However, I presented this
idea in each paper in different forms. In the summary, I simply stated what an author of a certain article had to say about this idea. In the critique, I
discussed

Describe Myself As A Student
Describe yourself as a student and also your aspirations for the future. Please include examples from your personal academic and non–academic
experiences.
A sophomore at Downtown Magnets High School, I demonstrate passion in my education, ambition in fulfilling my personal and academic goals, and
am an explorative student. My passion for learning is the result of my mindset, in that aside from finding education a necessity, it is enjoyable,
challenging, and beneficial in fulfilling my future aspirations. For example, I find my Honors Advanced Mathematics class my most unique course. It
builds upon my ability to critically think, present data or information, and understand higher–level math at a rapid pace. In particular, it is the ability to
solve real–world situations and the underlying mystery mathematicians have yet to solve that intrigues me to continue learning. The class expects
much of me, but I am aware that it is preparing me for college– and university–level math while providing me with the skills to pursue a career in
Architectural/ Structural Engineering. Ambitious, I set objectives for myself and arrange to accomplish and excel in the process. For instance, I
participated in my middle school's academic decathlon with a chance to represent my school in the mathematics single–subject exam. In doing so, I
attempted to score a near perfect to perfect score. While the competition did not end the way I expected, I successfully gained a flawless score on the

Essay About Myself
There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual
self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me
a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am
with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has
influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and

I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic experiences. A few examples of my childhood
memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how
many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a
major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open
to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by
various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned
these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have
to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it
gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my
spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of

Being super confident and comfortable with myself has never been my strong suit. Growing up the youngest of five was hard enough as it is
without everyone constantly comparing me to my older sisters; I was always the last included in everything when it came to them. I was always
"too young" or "not cool enough yet". Having five sisters who all had their own activities and their own talents made it harder to find my own; It
was a forbidden sin to be interested in the same activity as one of my sisters, and if I was I just constantly was compared to the sister who had done it
before I had. This made me extremely shy and insecure about who I was. Granted having five older sisters wasn't always a miserable thing, once I was
"cool" and "old" enough for them; specifically, I found it easier to find myself. I could see myself picking up different traits from each sisters. Along
the way of my eighteen years of life I have found a handful of ways to help fix my lack of confidence....show more content...
The biggest life lesson that I have ever learned was that not everybody is going to like me, and that is alright; I was not put on God's green earth to
be the most likable person. I am here to be myself and find the right people to vibe with and also to be somebody and make my life worth it. I've
learned that I can not force people to like me, no matter what I do or how I act, there is always going to be someone who does not like me; It is
okay though. Once I learned to not stress out about my popularity level amongst my peers, my self love grew tremendously;I felt like a weight had
been lifted off of my shoulders. Having self love is the best decision I ever made for myself; for example, I became more independent and I do
believe that I became emotionally stronger; little things did not bother me as much anymore. Learning to love yourself is the key to a high self

It's a good thing that high school is the place for finding yourself, because who I am is something I am still figuring out. In my opinion, education
and discovering more about who you are go hand in hand, because as you learn you are exposed to new ideas, cultures, and other things that could
change one's personality and views. Even Aristotle once said, "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom." I may not have discovered
everything about myself, but I know that I am an amiable, inquisitive, and assiduous person. Although I possess many valuable traits, no one is perfect
and I know I am quite unorganized and forgetful. All of these traits are important attributes of my character, and I wouldn't be myself without them.
Throughout my life I've always been a very curious person. This plays a big role in my life because I get excited about things the average person
wouldn't be excited about. Unlike many people my age, I don't always dread coming to school because a new day means something different is going to
happen and that fascinates me. This curiosity inspires me to try a lot of different sports, extracurricular activities, and such. I participate in a profusion
of things, including dance, Scholar's club, the Reading Olympics, track, and a newfound interest in basketball. If I wasn't so curious about everything I

As I stated before, I am very assiduous when it comes to school. I presume that when you have great determination and care for your work, it shines
through in the quality of it. Many times, my constant strive to persevere, or be successful in everything causes me to be an overachiever. Some
people would say that being an overachiever is a good thing, but I find it to be very detrimental to my character because I don't give myself enough
credit. Despite the fact that all of this can cause me stress, I'd rather work too hard than not work at

College: What I Learned About Myself
Today is December 1st which means that there is only 14 days left until the winter break. I can not believe that I almost finished up my freshman first
semester of college. Through the three or so months that I have been away from home, I have learned a lot of things from the new people I have met,
the new experience I have encountered, and the new concepts that have been taught to me. I have learned that college is so much more than just the
classes. It is an experience and opportunity for me to know and reflect about yourself.
I have learned that making many friends in college is important. From my FOCUS group and organizations, I met a lot of friends who have different
culture background and different life story than I. By interacting

essay about myself
Hi,
I am an international student from Czech Republic and I am applying for college preparatory boarding school in USA. This is my short essay
(100–200 words), topic is "Tell us about yourself and why you would like to become a part of our school family."
My story is similar like the story of thousand of other children: My father struggled with alcohol and drug problems which caused him to leave my
mother and me, so I grew up with only my mother. Nevertheless, I realized what I want from my life.
Throughout my life, I have heard people constantly repeat that children who grow up with only one parent end up unsuccessful, on drugs or even in
prison. I have decided that I do not want that for me; I will not follow my father's...show more content...
I couldn't get used to the surroundings and couldn't sleep much for days. I also disliked the unfamiliar food given at the boarding house. I missed my
family so much and became depressed. But my parents supported me. They phoned me often, even though they were busy with work. When I was
seeking an advice about school, they suggested me with good ideas. My father mailed a box filled with Japanese sweets, to the Japanese–food–hungry
me. Without my parents support, I would have been depressed for the whole 4 years at the boarding house.
Lastly, I recognized bad characteristics of myself at the boarding house, where many other students live. I'm very stubborn. I get stubborn when I am
choosing for something. For example, I had a small quarrel with my roommates about a shower time because I was being adamant with changing it.
Another characteristic of myself I had realised is that I can get irritated quite easily. I get irritated when something is distracting me when I am
concentrating. For example, I said some rude words at my friend who just came into my room when I was concentrating on my test studies. On top of
that, I became aware that I am lazy. Once I was scolded for not doing the weekly duty allotted. I have recognized many bad parts of my identity, and I
wish to change them in the future.
To conclude, I came to value friends and family with my boarding experience. The things I value is a important part of my identity. I also started to

Personal Experience: College Life
College was very much a paradox for me. College was the most challenging experiences in my life, and yet one of the best experiences I have ever
had. During my undergraduate years, I met new people, took exciting courses, and learned to live without the daily guidance of my parents. And
most of all, I was able to learn more about myself. After my first year, the pressure of living on campus, friends, and classes began to take a toll on
me. I began to fall apart. I worked two jobs to support myself, knowing that I could not ask my parents frequently for money due to their own
financial burdens at home. I had to constantly deal with the upheaval from my relationships with roommates, friends, and family. I began dealing
with anxiety, and my confidence level dropped considerably. My schoolwork began to suffer, and I began to withdraw from my friends and
family. There were times when I cried almost every day and felt as though I could not carry on. The hardest part of all of this was putting on a
façade for the people around me as though everything was perfectly okay. I still wanted people to see my as the happy, smiling person that was
always in a good mood. Seeing that my grades had plummeted and realizing that I was going through a depressed time in my life, made me take a
stand to make changes in my life. I knew I could not sit around dwelling in my despair while life passed me by. I am a firm believer in the phrase, "if
you see something in your life you do not like, then

The score I received on the study skill inventory that where high are textbooks, note taking, memory, and concentration. The study skill inventory
that I scored low on is test prep and time management. The reason why I scored low in test prep was because I do not think I prepared well for test.
I also believe that I scored low on this because I do not take proper notes that are full in details. I do not put enough time into studying like I should.
The reason why I scored low on time management is because I don't manage my time well. I also do not have a set schedule where I plan on doing
school work. Which leads me to procrastinate so I decide to do everything the last minute right before it is due.
One thing that I learned about myself as a college student this semester is that I need to push myself to study more and take better notes because it
will pay off when exams come. Especially because college course are much more complicated than high school because you don't have 9 months to
learn everything in one textbook. The second thing that I learned about myself as a college student is that I am more independent and I don't rely on
my parent to pay for my college textbooks or tuition. I pay it on my own. I also have to push myself more to get things done on my own. My parents
are not there to nag me to do something or help me. The third thing that I learned about myself as a college student is balancing my social life from
work and school. I learned that my social life has

What I Learned About Myself Essay
This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could dig as deep as I did, and have a better
understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class.
I really enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard for me to get started writing at first and then
once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that
I can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was
writing because, I realized things about myself that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend,
family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons. I learned how to become a better writer, I learned
about myself as a person, and I constructed pieces of writing that I didn't know I was capable of. Some assignments became easier as time went on
because I became a stronger writer. However, I think the hardest one for me was having to write about the room I was in. It didn't interest me because
it didn't help me dig deeper into my feelings or anything of that matter. I also didn't enjoy having to respond to different pieces of writing, because it

Essay on Me Myself and Personality Traits
Me Myself and Personality Traits When asked to describe myself I never know what to say, but I should know myself the best, right? I like to look
at myself as a genuine, thoughtful young lady. I'm a hard worker; I believe nothing is ever handed to you so you have to go get it. I worked hard
to get to this point of my life and working even harder to get to the successful and graduate part of my life. I care more for some others than I do
myself but I have a huge nonchalant attitude. I don't really show anger or sadness much I always smile because I'm optimistic about life. I look at
life as if something bad comes along, no need to dwell on it you can't take it back so just move–on and improve what you did wrong if it's possible.

I was taught to be caring and thoughtful; I wasn't taught anything else from anyone other than not to trust people. I'm the odd ball of my family
because I am nothing like anyone. I can say I was also taught to believe in myself and never down myself because I can accomplish anything. That is
shown through my determination and hard work because if I didn't believe in myself I wouldn't try as hard. Last but not all, Humanistic approach sums
up my personality a little more than psychodynamic does because it involves nature vs. nurture and that kind of sums it up just saying that.
Environment and Heredity is kind of the main reasons of my attitudes and actions. In the article, Time–Limited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Briggs
conducts different forms of psychotherapy techniques to prove whether things in an adolescent's life effect different adolescents differently. His study
was a success and proved that many adolescents have different interpretations on the same issue. He read them off different problems and wanted to
see how they would interpret them. He used children in the age groups of 12–17 and it worked out. I think that the different approaches can be brought
together in some circumstances but in my case it doesn't. My personality makes more sense coming from the humanistic approach. Briggs, Stephen

The Best Possible Version Of Myself Essay
I 'm not perfect, but I 'm becoming the best possible version of myself. At first I was very ashamed of myself, for multiple reasons, but mainly
because I haven't graduated college, that I had fallen behind my peers. However, I have nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone's path is
different. I was a "know it all," I thought I had everything figured out, but I was wrong. Failure was something I had never experienced until I was
completely on my own. Honestly, when I got to college I wanted to be a teacher, then I realized the world was a fucked–up place and I needed to do
more. I switched my major to political science. I was happy with the switch, but then I notice something was wrong with me, it wasn't just the world. I
always felt different, the way I process emotions and interact with people was a little abnormal. This became more apparent when I entered college.
In 2014, I was officially diagnosed with Bi–polar Disorder. I thought "you know what I have this mental illness, I can't live life. I was scared and
confused. I pushed my boyfriend, friends, and mother away. The only thing I had left were my negative thoughts and countless bottles of alcohol that
made going to sleep a little easier. There was a point of time where I was so overwhelmed with anxiety that I feared leaving my bedroom. I wanted to
take my life and tried several times. The saddest part of it all was I never really wanted to kill myself, I just thought it was my only opposition to
escape the pain. I

I Have Prepared Myself For College
D.I have prepared myself for college by taking my academics very seriously and understanding its importance on the outcome of life. During my
sixth grade year, I was invited to attend the North Carolina Math and Science Education Network at Elizabeth City State University. As a senior, I
am still enrolled in this program and it has been a true enhancement to my academics as I have been selected to attend the State wide Competition
every year and have been awarded a placement in Science and Math. My enrollment in college classes beginning my junior year in high school has
helped me with increasing my writing and reading experiences. Honors English classes forecasted my development of a strong ethic in this
subject as well as excelling in the required standardized testing for English. My Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores also show my hard work
and dedication to school and my coursework. E.If there was only one scholarship and four applicants, I should be chosen over the other three
applicants because of my three core values: hard work, leadership, and service. Working hard is about having a mindset that you will work harder
than anyone to achieve your goals. Leadership can be shown in many different aspects. One can be a leader in position, personality, and academically.
Organization is also a quality of leadership. Leaders always encompass a frontal position especially in seating and stance. As a two year director of the

My College Experience
Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and explain how college is supposed to be "the best
experience of your life." The summer after my senior year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had
heard people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully understand what college was like until I
experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges
and obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a sudden there was no one to get me out of...show more

I can remember missing 8:05 classes because I stayed out too late the night before. In high school the teacher would constantly remind the students
when certain assignments were due, but this was not the case in college. I learned that the hard way my first semester. Sometimes I forgot to turn in
an assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These were all new problems that could have easily
let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the
confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time had come for me to grow up and become an adult
even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These
factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I learned how better manage my time, take advantage of
campus resources and also how to organize myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead of
taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy
while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced them. I believe this experience was the reason for my

School, to me and among many peers of my age, is not a distant term. I have spent one–third of my life time sitting in classrooms, every week since I

Some are small incidences while some have had a great impact on me. However, regardless the degree of significance, things that happened all
contributed to shape the person that I am now. I was accused of cheating for the first time when I was seven years old. It was during the term final

Everything started anew, I was all by myself. While I was busy getting used to the school and making new friends, I also discovered a new passion,
soccer. Through soccer I was able to meet some of my most loyal friends. We would often get together and play soccer against other classes. The
school required a test for admission, so the competition was getting fierce. The teachers focused a lot on our academics and tried to squeeze as much
time as they can from us to study. As the result, we were not allowed to play soccer during our free time because it hinders us from studying. Maybe it
is human tendency to break laws, but the gang of us didn’t want to conform to that rule so sneaking a soccer ball to school and keep it away
from the teachers became an everyday challenge. It was amazing the kind of ideas we came up with for this task. Soccer added spices into my
otherwise boring school life, and it served as a channel between me and my fellow classmates. Through soccer we found a common ground, that we
were able to know each other more and support each other no matter what happens. It gave us a sense of unity, and it was very important to me. Even
now I cherish the pact I had with them back then – the support that helped me to stay on the right track during my rebel teenage years. My homeroom

Reflection Paper About Myself

  • 1. Reflection Paper About Myself 3 years ago, I was in grade 10. Back then, my life and personality were gravitating around 3 main things: books, academics, and competitions. I never really took the time to think about "ME", what only mattered at that time was academic accomplishment and recognition. But today, I am constantly thriving to be a better version of myself through reflections, readings, meditation, and yoga. Now that I am a 19–year–old girl, I see myself as a silent thinker and dreamer. I perceive the world as a black and white movie where positive thoughts, diverse ideas, and authentic selves give it colors and sound. Although I am often times quiet and reserved, I remember having a conversation one day with my teacher and he said: "You have the soul of a grandmother" Well, I believe that to be true due to some of the challenging experiences life has put me through and that has made me a stronger and mature person. And that is why I have also learnt the importance of always being kind and to spread love around you. If I am not going to school, most of my days consist of reading, watching documentaries, working on business ideas, learning German and playing general knowledge games. I also like to put myself in environments where I get to interact with people from different backgrounds. That always enabled me to learn a lot about myself and others. Five years from now, if I get to be asked the same question again, I am convinced that half of my answer will change too. Not only will I say that I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Life As A College Student Essay Over the course of the last semester, I grew tremendously, not just as a writer but as a student. I learned skills and tactics that will last me throughout my life and will benefit me once I begin the next four years of my life as a college student. This early gateway into college writing provided me with exposure to the expectations that I will face in the college classroom. This will come in handy in the English classroom, as well as in every subject I will face over the course of the next four years, and beyond. Writing is a key skill that communicates ideas and information, and is essential to being successful. Whether I go into the music industry or find myself in a completely unforeseen career, it is certain that I will use my writing skills at some point. This class sharpened those skills and prepared me for the future in ways no high school english class could. This class has challenged me to think more in depth than I ever have before. It forced me to use my writing as a means of expressing knowledge, ideas, and facts in a clear organized manner. In order to accomplish the goals of each paper assigned, I found new ways to present the same information. For example, in every essay I included the theme that governments should be more involved in the fight against cyber warfare. However, I presented this idea in each paper in different forms. In the summary, I simply stated what an author of a certain article had to say about this idea. In the critique, I discussed Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Describe Myself As A Student Describe yourself as a student and also your aspirations for the future. Please include examples from your personal academic and non–academic experiences. A sophomore at Downtown Magnets High School, I demonstrate passion in my education, ambition in fulfilling my personal and academic goals, and am an explorative student. My passion for learning is the result of my mindset, in that aside from finding education a necessity, it is enjoyable, challenging, and beneficial in fulfilling my future aspirations. For example, I find my Honors Advanced Mathematics class my most unique course. It builds upon my ability to critically think, present data or information, and understand higher–level math at a rapid pace. In particular, it is the ability to solve real–world situations and the underlying mystery mathematicians have yet to solve that intrigues me to continue learning. The class expects much of me, but I am aware that it is preparing me for college– and university–level math while providing me with the skills to pursue a career in Architectural/ Structural Engineering. Ambitious, I set objectives for myself and arrange to accomplish and excel in the process. For instance, I participated in my middle school's academic decathlon with a chance to represent my school in the mathematics single–subject exam. In doing so, I attempted to score a near perfect to perfect score. While the competition did not end the way I expected, I successfully gained a flawless score on the questions Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay About Myself There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people has influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and ...show more content... I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic experiences. A few examples of my childhood memories are my mother reading to me, my grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter how many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I have an extremely close family that has played a major role in my life. They are whom I spend most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very open to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by various people, I've learned at a very young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have learned these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have to say, and then contribute to the discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a group, because it gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my spiritual self is the most important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe in a bit of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Being super confident and comfortable with myself has never been my strong suit. Growing up the youngest of five was hard enough as it is without everyone constantly comparing me to my older sisters; I was always the last included in everything when it came to them. I was always "too young" or "not cool enough yet". Having five sisters who all had their own activities and their own talents made it harder to find my own; It was a forbidden sin to be interested in the same activity as one of my sisters, and if I was I just constantly was compared to the sister who had done it before I had. This made me extremely shy and insecure about who I was. Granted having five older sisters wasn't always a miserable thing, once I was "cool" and "old" enough for them; specifically, I found it easier to find myself. I could see myself picking up different traits from each sisters. Along the way of my eighteen years of life I have found a handful of ways to help fix my lack of confidence....show more content... The biggest life lesson that I have ever learned was that not everybody is going to like me, and that is alright; I was not put on God's green earth to be the most likable person. I am here to be myself and find the right people to vibe with and also to be somebody and make my life worth it. I've learned that I can not force people to like me, no matter what I do or how I act, there is always going to be someone who does not like me; It is okay though. Once I learned to not stress out about my popularity level amongst my peers, my self love grew tremendously;I felt like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. Having self love is the best decision I ever made for myself; for example, I became more independent and I do believe that I became emotionally stronger; little things did not bother me as much anymore. Learning to love yourself is the key to a high self Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. It's a good thing that high school is the place for finding yourself, because who I am is something I am still figuring out. In my opinion, education and discovering more about who you are go hand in hand, because as you learn you are exposed to new ideas, cultures, and other things that could change one's personality and views. Even Aristotle once said, "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom." I may not have discovered everything about myself, but I know that I am an amiable, inquisitive, and assiduous person. Although I possess many valuable traits, no one is perfect and I know I am quite unorganized and forgetful. All of these traits are important attributes of my character, and I wouldn't be myself without them. Throughout my life I've always been a very curious person. This plays a big role in my life because I get excited about things the average person wouldn't be excited about. Unlike many people my age, I don't always dread coming to school because a new day means something different is going to happen and that fascinates me. This curiosity inspires me to try a lot of different sports, extracurricular activities, and such. I participate in a profusion of things, including dance, Scholar's club, the Reading Olympics, track, and a newfound interest in basketball. If I wasn't so curious about everything I probably...show more content... As I stated before, I am very assiduous when it comes to school. I presume that when you have great determination and care for your work, it shines through in the quality of it. Many times, my constant strive to persevere, or be successful in everything causes me to be an overachiever. Some people would say that being an overachiever is a good thing, but I find it to be very detrimental to my character because I don't give myself enough credit. Despite the fact that all of this can cause me stress, I'd rather work too hard than not work at Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. College: What I Learned About Myself Today is December 1st which means that there is only 14 days left until the winter break. I can not believe that I almost finished up my freshman first semester of college. Through the three or so months that I have been away from home, I have learned a lot of things from the new people I have met, the new experience I have encountered, and the new concepts that have been taught to me. I have learned that college is so much more than just the classes. It is an experience and opportunity for me to know and reflect about yourself. I have learned that making many friends in college is important. From my FOCUS group and organizations, I met a lot of friends who have different culture background and different life story than I. • 8. essay about myself Hi, I am an international student from Czech Republic and I am applying for college preparatory boarding school in USA. This is my short essay (100–200 words), topic is "Tell us about yourself and why you would like to become a part of our school family." My story is similar like the story of thousand of other children: My father struggled with alcohol and drug problems which caused him to leave my mother and me, so I grew up with only my mother. Nevertheless, I realized what I want from my life. Throughout my life, I have heard people constantly repeat that children who grow up with only one parent end up unsuccessful, on drugs or even in prison. I have decided that I do not want that for me; I will not follow my father's...show more content... I couldn't get used to the surroundings and couldn't sleep much for days. I also disliked the unfamiliar food given at the boarding house. I missed my family so much and became depressed. But my parents supported me. They phoned me often, even though they were busy with work. When I was seeking an advice about school, they suggested me with good ideas. My father mailed a box filled with Japanese sweets, to the Japanese–food–hungry me. Without my parents support, I would have been depressed for the whole 4 years at the boarding house. Lastly, I recognized bad characteristics of myself at the boarding house, where many other students live. I'm very stubborn. I get stubborn when I am choosing for something. For example, I had a small quarrel with my roommates about a shower time because I was being adamant with changing it. Another characteristic of myself I had realised is that I can get irritated quite easily. I get irritated when something is distracting me when I am concentrating. For example, I said some rude words at my friend who just came into my room when I was concentrating on my test studies. On top of that, I became aware that I am lazy. Once I was scolded for not doing the weekly duty allotted. I have recognized many bad parts of my identity, and I wish to change them in the future. To conclude, I came to value friends and family with my boarding experience. The things I value is a important part of my identity. I also started to want to

  • 10. Personal Experience: College Life College was very much a paradox for me. College was the most challenging experiences in my life, and yet one of the best experiences I have ever had. During my undergraduate years, I met new people, took exciting courses, and learned to live without the daily guidance of my parents. And most of all, I was able to learn more about myself. After my first year, the pressure of living on campus, friends, and classes began to take a toll on me. I began to fall apart. I worked two jobs to support myself, knowing that I could not ask my parents frequently for money due to their own financial burdens at home. I had to constantly deal with the upheaval from my relationships with roommates, friends, and family. I began dealing with anxiety, and my confidence level dropped considerably. My schoolwork began to suffer, and I began to withdraw from my friends and family. There were times when I cried almost every day and felt as though I could not carry on. The hardest part of all of this was putting on a faГ§ade for the people around me as though everything was perfectly okay. I still wanted people to see my as the happy, smiling person that was always in a good mood. Seeing that my grades had plummeted and realizing that I was going through a depressed time in my life, made me take a stand to make changes in my life. I knew I could not sit around dwelling in my despair while life passed me by. I am a firm believer in the phrase, "if you see something in your life you do not like, then Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. The score I received on the study skill inventory that where high are textbooks, note taking, memory, and concentration. The study skill inventory that I scored low on is test prep and time management. The reason why I scored low in test prep was because I do not think I prepared well for test. I also believe that I scored low on this because I do not take proper notes that are full in details. I do not put enough time into studying like I should. The reason why I scored low on time management is because I don't manage my time well. I also do not have a set schedule where I plan on doing school work. Which leads me to procrastinate so I decide to do everything the last minute right before it is due. One thing that I learned about myself as a college student this semester is that I need to push myself to study more and take better notes because it will pay off when exams come. Especially because college course are much more complicated than high school because you don't have 9 months to learn everything in one textbook. The second thing that I learned about myself as a college student is that I am more independent and I don't rely on my parent to pay for my college textbooks or tuition. I pay it on my own. I also have to push myself more to get things done on my own. My parents are not there to nag me to do something or help me. The third thing that I learned about myself as a college student is balancing my social life from work and school. I learned that my social life has Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. What I Learned About Myself Essay This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could dig as deep as I did, and have a better understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class. I really enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard for me to get started writing at first and then once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that I can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was writing because, I realized things about myself that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend, family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons. I learned how to become a better writer, I learned about myself as a person, and I constructed pieces of writing that I didn't know I was capable of. Some assignments became easier as time went on because I became a stronger writer. However, I think the hardest one for me was having to write about the room I was in. It didn't interest me because it didn't help me dig deeper into my feelings or anything of that matter. I also didn't enjoy having to respond to different pieces of writing, because it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Essay on Me Myself and Personality Traits Me Myself and Personality Traits When asked to describe myself I never know what to say, but I should know myself the best, right? I like to look at myself as a genuine, thoughtful young lady. I'm a hard worker; I believe nothing is ever handed to you so you have to go get it. I worked hard to get to this point of my life and working even harder to get to the successful and graduate part of my life. I care more for some others than I do myself but I have a huge nonchalant attitude. I don't really show anger or sadness much I always smile because I'm optimistic about life. I look at life as if something bad comes along, no need to dwell on it you can't take it back so just move–on and improve what you did wrong if it's possible. ...show more content... I was taught to be caring and thoughtful; I wasn't taught anything else from anyone other than not to trust people. I'm the odd ball of my family because I am nothing like anyone. I can say I was also taught to believe in myself and never down myself because I can accomplish anything. That is shown through my determination and hard work because if I didn't believe in myself I wouldn't try as hard. Last but not all, Humanistic approach sums up my personality a little more than psychodynamic does because it involves nature vs. nurture and that kind of sums it up just saying that. Environment and Heredity is kind of the main reasons of my attitudes and actions. In the article, Time–Limited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Briggs conducts different forms of psychotherapy techniques to prove whether things in an adolescent's life effect different adolescents differently. His study was a success and proved that many adolescents have different interpretations on the same issue. He read them off different problems and wanted to see how they would interpret them. He used children in the age groups of 12–17 and it worked out. I think that the different approaches can be brought together in some circumstances but in my case it doesn't. My personality makes more sense coming from the humanistic approach. Briggs, Stephen (2010). Time–Limited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy for Adolescents and Young Adults. • 14. The Best Possible Version Of Myself Essay I 'm not perfect, but I 'm becoming the best possible version of myself. At first I was very ashamed of myself, for multiple reasons, but mainly because I haven't graduated college, that I had fallen behind my peers. However, I have nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone's path is different. I was a "know it all," I thought I had everything figured out, but I was wrong. Failure was something I had never experienced until I was completely on my own. Honestly, when I got to college I wanted to be a teacher, then I realized the world was a fucked–up place and I needed to do more. I switched my major to political science. I was happy with the switch, but then I notice something was wrong with me, it wasn't just the world. I always felt different, the way I process emotions and interact with people was a little abnormal. This became more apparent when I entered college. In 2014, I was officially diagnosed with Bi–polar Disorder. I thought "you know what I have this mental illness, I can't live life. I was scared and confused. I pushed my boyfriend, friends, and mother away. The only thing I had left were my negative thoughts and countless bottles of alcohol that made going to sleep a little easier. There was a point of time where I was so overwhelmed with anxiety that I feared leaving my bedroom. I wanted to take my life and tried several times. The saddest part of it all was I never really wanted to kill myself, I just thought it was my only opposition to escape the pain. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 18. I Have Prepared Myself For College D.I have prepared myself for college by taking my academics very seriously and understanding its importance on the outcome of life. During my sixth grade year, I was invited to attend the North Carolina Math and Science Education Network at Elizabeth City State University. As a senior, I am still enrolled in this program and it has been a true enhancement to my academics as I have been selected to attend the State wide Competition every year and have been awarded a placement in Science and Math. My enrollment in college classes beginning my junior year in high school has helped me with increasing my writing and reading experiences. Honors English classes forecasted my development of a strong ethic in this subject as well as excelling in the required standardized testing for English. My Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores also show my hard work and dedication to school and my coursework. E.If there was only one scholarship and four applicants, I should be chosen over the other three applicants because of my three core values: hard work, leadership, and service. Working hard is about having a mindset that you will work harder than anyone to achieve your goals. Leadership can be shown in many different aspects. One can be a leader in position, personality, and academically. Organization is also a quality of leadership. Leaders always encompass a frontal position especially in seating and stance. • 19. My College Experience Essay examples My College Experience Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and explain how college is supposed to be "the best experience of your life." The summer after my senior year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had heard people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully understand what college was like until I experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges and obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a sudden there was no one to get me out of...show more content... I can remember missing 8:05 classes because I stayed out too late the night before. In high school the teacher would constantly remind the students when certain assignments were due, but this was not the case in college. I learned that the hard way my first semester. Sometimes I forgot to turn in an assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These were all new problems that could have easily let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time had come for me to grow up and become an adult even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I learned how better manage my time, take advantage of campus resources and also how to organize myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead of taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced them. I believe this experience was the reason for my Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I am from Richmond, California, but that's just where I geographically from, when in reality I came from a strong family of immigrants. My parents both came to the United States as a young 26, and 24–year–old parents of one child. I did not come until two years later that I came, I came into the world, and was already marked with the name of an anchor baby. As I grow up I did not really know what I was, what I did was always question myself, am I just a reason to keep my parents here longer? Why am I called an anchor baby? I felt that I did not fit in but my schools I went to school always had a mixture of students. I did not know what I was or who I was, I had not direct connection to any ethnicity. When I was in elementary school there where a mixture of Whites, Asians, Latinos, and African Americans ethnicities, grow up in a multicultural area I didn't think about race or class as much as late in life. • 21. Essay About Myself School, to me and among many peers of my age, is not a distant term. I have spent one–third of my life time sitting in classrooms, every week since I was seven years old. After spending this much time in school, many things and experiences that happened there have left their mark in my memory. Some are small incidences while some have had a great impact on me. However, regardless the degree of significance, things that happened all contributed to shape the person that I am now. I was accused of cheating for the first time when I was seven years old. It was during the term final where the performance of the test indicates all the progress the student had made throughout the semester, so its importance was never over emphasized. Though...show more content... Everything started anew, I was all by myself. While I was busy getting used to the school and making new friends, I also discovered a new passion, soccer. Through soccer I was able to meet some of my most loyal friends. We would often get together and play soccer against other classes. The school required a test for admission, so the competition was getting fierce. The teachers focused a lot on our academics and tried to squeeze as much time as they can from us to study. As the result, we were not allowed to play soccer during our free time because it hinders us from studying. Maybe it is human tendency to break laws, but the gang of us didn’t want to conform to that rule so sneaking a soccer ball to school and keep it away from the teachers became an everyday challenge. It was amazing the kind of ideas we came up with for this task. Soccer added spices into my otherwise boring school life, and it served as a channel between me and my fellow classmates. Through soccer we found a common ground, that we were able to know each other more and support each other no matter what happens. It gave us a sense of unity, and it was very important to me. Even now I cherish the pact I had with them back then – the support that helped me to stay on the right track during my rebel teenage years. My homeroom teacher at the time had the most impact on me than any other mentors I had. People say Get more content on HelpWriting.net
