REFLECTION
TEXTBOOKS IN LANGUAGE TEACHING
I think that computers, DVD, internet are useful, however, technology is not the
only way of innovation to practice English language, because innovation often
comes from places where you have enormous requirements and not enough
resources for traditional solution to work, such as in Mistrató. Fortunately people
continue to use textbooks because students require the orientation of very good
leaders, and as a wise leader have to adapt all the materials as the textbooks
according with the real context or use authentic materials. In addition Jack C.
Richards mentions others advantages about textbooks as: They provide
structures and a syllabus for a program, they help standardize instruction, they
maintain quality, they provide a variety of learning resources, they are efficient,
they save teachers´ time, they can provide effective language models and input,
they can train teachers, they are visually appealing1. In special students do not
forget to use the library, appreciate and valorize the textbooks to learn every day

Reflection no. 2 textbook in language teaching

  • 1. REFLECTION TEXTBOOKS IN LANGUAGE TEACHING I think that computers, DVD, internet are useful, however, technology is not the only way of innovation to practice English language, because innovation often comes from places where you have enormous requirements and not enough resources for traditional solution to work, such as in Mistrató. Fortunately people continue to use textbooks because students require the orientation of very good leaders, and as a wise leader have to adapt all the materials as the textbooks according with the real context or use authentic materials. In addition Jack C. Richards mentions others advantages about textbooks as: They provide structures and a syllabus for a program, they help standardize instruction, they maintain quality, they provide a variety of learning resources, they are efficient, they save teachers´ time, they can provide effective language models and input, they can train teachers, they are visually appealing1.
