Redington Value, the value-add-
ed arm of regional distribution
behemoth Redington Gulf, has
announced a distribution agree-
ment with San José-based soft-
ware-defined data management
provider, Cohesity, for the Mid-
dle East and Africa markets.
Cohesity makes it simple for
organizations to backup vast
arrays of enterprise data across
on-premises, cloud and edge en-
vironments. Cohesity also solves
critical challenges pertaining to
mass data fragmentation. Cohes-
ity’s data management solutions
solve these fragmentation chal-
lenges by consolidating backup,
archiving, dev/test, file shares,
object stores and analytics onto
a single, web-scale hypercon-
verged platform. Organizations
can run applications on that same
platform. This makes it much
easier to manage, analyze, and
gain insights from data.
The Cohesity Platform is avail-
able both as a turnkey appliance
and a software solution that can
be implemented on specific refer-
ence hardware architectures.

At ISC High Performance 2019, Dell Tech-
nologies announced details of new solutions,
reference designs, customer collaborations and
partnerships designed to advance and simplify
the deployment of AI, deep learning (DL) and
high performance computing (HPC).
Dell EMC has expanded its portfolio of Ready
Solutions for AI to include Deep Learning with
Intel. This new Dell EMC Ready Solution,
co-developed with Intel, helps enable organi-
zations to deliver on the combined needs of
their data science and IT teams, and benefit
from deep learning.
Dell EMC Ready Solutions for AI help cus-
tomers accelerate time to insights by providing
pre-designed and pre-validated solutions ideal
for ML and DL. The Deep Learning with Intel
design can reduce total cost of ownership by up
to 24% over a three-year period while provid-
ing double the compute time and 10 times the
storage capacity than running the same work-
load on a leading public cloud AI service, ac-
cording to research and analyst firm Enterprise
Strategy Group. It is the first industry solution
with Nauta software, an Intel-led open source
initiative for distributed deep learning using
Kubernetes. Dell EMC Ready Solutions for AI
are powered by Dell EMC PowerEdge servers,
PowerSwitch networking, and Isilon scale-out
NAS storage.
Dell EMC is expanding its Ready Solutions
for HPC Digital Manufacturing with new and
updated designs for Altair HyperWorks, AN-
SYS Fluent, ANSYS Mechanical, Dassault
Systèmes SIMULIA, LSTC LS-DYNA and
Siemens’ Simcenter STAR-CCM+ software.
These designs combine the flexibility of cus-
tomized HPC systems with the speed, simplic-
ity and reliability of pre-configured systems,
enabling manufacturing, engineering and de-
sign-focused organizations to run complex de-
sign simulations, including structural analysis
and computational fluid dynamics.
The new Ready Solutions for HPC Digital
Manufacturing designs leverage Dell EMC
PowerEdge servers, PowerSwitch networking
and PowerVault storage, backed by a single
point of contact for support with additional
service options. The new Ready Solutions also
benefit from the 2nd Generation Intel Xeon
Scalable processors available now in several
PowerEdge servers, including the four-socket
PowerEdge R840.

– to provide organizations, enterprises and devel-
opers in the UAE with access to scalable, high-
ly available, and resilient cloud services while
maintaining data residency, security and compli-
ance needs. The new UAE locations will also de-
liver increased performance for Microsoft Cloud
services to Middle East customers and partners.
“These new cloud regions in the UAE are the
dawn of a new era, driving digital transformation,
economic growth and job creation,” said Sayed
Hashish, Regional General Manager, Microsoft
Gulf. “We are committed to empowering every
person and every organization on the planet to
achieve more. Now, more customers in the Mid-
dle East can move with confidence to the trusted
and intelligent Microsoft Cloud. They will be
more competitive as they start their digital trans-
formation journeys – engaging customers, em-
powering employees, optimising operations, and
reinventing products and services.”
Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 are
generally available from the new cloud regions in
the UAE. Azure, an ever-expanding set of cloud
services, offers computing, networking, databas-
es, analytics, artificial intelligence and Internet
of Things (IoT) services to help organizations
overcome their business challenges. Office 365
empowers customers to get more done on any
device, through cloud-based productivity solu-
tions providing email, collaboration, conferenc-
ing, enterprise social networking and business
intelligence. Dynamics 365 and Power Platform,
offering the next generation of intelligent busi-
ness applications and tools, are anticipated to be
available from the cloud regions in the UAE by
the end of 2019.
Microsoft provides expertise in data protection,
security and privacy as well as the industry’s
broadest set of compliance certifications to help
customers manage compliance with supported
industry standards and regulations such as ISO
27001/27018, SSAE 18 SOC, and GDPR. Data
residency in the UAE will help enable govern-
ment organizations and enterprises to comply
with in-country regulatory frameworks and de-
crease the obstacles for cloud adoption. This al-
lows, for example, public sector departments to
revitalize their service delivery with the ability to
improve data gathering, promote teamwork, por-
tal development and analytics.
Regional organizations of all sizes from across
all industries have placed their trust in the Mic-
rosoft Cloud. These include the Emirates Group,
Emaar Properties, Majid Al Futtaim, Jumeirah
Hotels and Resorts, Landmark Group, Abu Dhabi
Avaya has published a global survey of nearly
2,800 IT and business decision leaders from 17
countries which found that over 90 percent see AI
as a crucial element in the digital transformation
of their organization and 94 percent recognize
the ability of AI to transform the performance of
their contact center. The study also revealed that
81 percent believe failing to properly adopt ar-
tificial intelligence now will cost their company
throughout the next decade. However, 42 percent
of organizations admitted they are currently only
40-60 percent through their implementation of AI
in the contact center.
“AI: The De Facto for Contact Center Experi-
ence” is a new research report conducted by Van-
son Bourne and sponsored by Avaya, that looks
at AI in the contact center, including the current
status of implementation, practical implications
and the benefits and challenges of AI. The global
survey saw 32 percent of respondents from the
Americas, 43 percent from EMEA and 25 percent
from Asia Pacific.
While the overwhelming majority of respondents’
Global Markets (ADGM), Miral, Daman Insur-
ance, RAK Ceramics, Imdaad, Gulf Air, Viva,
Kuwait Finance House, and Dubai World Trade
Center. Entities from sectors such as government,
aviation, financial services, manufacturing and
healthcare are among those that are already bene-
fiting from the new cloud regions. These include
Dubai Airports, Etihad Airways, Mubadala De-
velopment Company, Mashreq Bank, The First
Group, Network International, and Shelf Drilling.
Microsoft has been working closely with Abu
Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) and Dubai
Electronic Security Center (DESC) to enable
compliant adoption of Cloud Services by the
UAE government and semi-government entities.
Microsoft is also the first cloud service provid-
er in the UAE to achieve DESC’s Cloud Service
Provider certification.
Microsoft also anticipates the cloud services de-
livered from the UAE to have a positive impact
on job creation, entrepreneurship and economic
growth across the region. The International Data
Corporation (IDC) predicts that cloud comput-
ing and the Microsoft ecosystem is set to bring
more than half a million jobs to the Middle East,
including Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE be-
tween 2017 and 2022. The World Bank has re-
ported that for every job created in technology,
more than four jobs are created across all occupa-
tion and income groups.
With a pool of Microsoft engineers, data scien-
tists and experts contributing to the digital trans-
formation journeys of Middle East customers and
their migrations to the cloud, Microsoft continues
to help bridge the skills gap amongst the IT com-
munity in the region and enhance their technical
acumen for cloud services. Through Microsoft
Cloud Society, which has trained over 150,000
IT professionals in the Middle East & Africa,
companies will further benefit from the increased
availability and performance of cloud services
delivered from UAE to help realize the business
benefits of cloud and upskill them in migrating
and managing their cloud infrastructures.
Opportunity for partners
The new cloud regions in the UAE bring a mas-
sive opportunity for partners in the Gulf to grow
their revenues and customer bases. More than
1,800 certified Microsoft partners from the re-
gion will play a pivotal role in supporting gov-
ernment and private organizations to embark on
their cloud journeys.
As a strategic partner, Etisalat is collaborating
closely with Microsoft in line with its goal to pro-
vide end-to-end digital solutions to its customers
and breadth of expertise in managed services.
By offering cloud-based solutions to the coun-
try’s Government institutions, large enterprises,
small-medium businesses, and start-ups, Etisalat
is enabling them to drive digital transformation
by migrating to the cloud faster.

organizations are using AI within
their contact center for improving
customer self-service (47 percent),
resolving customer issues faster (44
percent) and predicting customer
needs (41 percent), the report found
that over a third of respondents are
doing so via chatbots to interact
with customers, considered by some
to be one of the most basic forms of
AI. The survey found respondents
are looking to go beyond chatbots,
but need help in doing so effectively.
Even though only a quarter (25 per-
cent) of respondents’ organizations
have fully implemented an AI strat-
egy, over half (51 percent) want to
expand the number of areas of their
business where AI is implemented.
For example, roughly 40 percent
would like to predict caller intent
with speech analytics and/or ana-
lyze caller emotion to optimize the
experience of engaging via phone.
As AI becomes more prominent,
85 percent of decision makers cite
that they will need to seek out more
third-party support to fully integrate
the technology into their contact
center.
Chris McGugan, Avaya SVP, Solu-
tions & Technology said, “Antic-
ipating customer needs and lever-
aging AI to better meet those needs
leads to higher first contact resolu-
tion rates for customers and ulti-
mately financial gains for the orga-
nizations effectively utilizing AI in
their contact centers. Additionally,
as customers transition from static
matching to utilizing AI in behav-
ioral pairing such as skills based
routing or proactive outbound mes-
saging, agents are empowered and
fully contextually aware to moni-
tor and manage the full customer
journey all from a single, intuitive
user interface leading to flexible,
automated decision making in the
future.”
By implementing AI, 55 percent
of respondents cited both a bet-
ter experience for customers and
increased customer satisfaction.
While at least a third surveyed also
noted other expected benefits such
as predictive analytics, improved
revenue and higher lifetime value.
When it comes to developing an AI
solution in-house or buying from a
third party, 52 percent of respon-
dents in all regions cited a mix of in-
house and third-party development
as preferable.
According to the latest industry
survey results released from Vee-
am Software, the leader in Backup
solutions that enable Cloud Data
Management, 73% of organizations
admit to not being able to meet us-
ers’ demands for uninterrupted ac-
cess to data and services, costing the
typical company $20 million a year.
However, this year’s study shows
that organizations are acting to com-
bat this, with nearly three-quarters
(72%) looking to embrace Cloud
Data Management, often by exploit-
ing hybrid cloud capabilities, to en-
sure success and drive more value
from their data.
The 2019 Veeam Cloud Data Man-
agement Report surveyed more than
1,500 senior business and IT leaders
from 13 countries and found that
respondents are aware of the impor-
tance of data management to their
business’ success, pointing to great-
er productivity today, and the poten-
tial to drive business transformation
in the future.
Middle East Survey Findings:

formation to Middle Eastern
businesses
o 44% view the deployment of
digital technology as critical to suc-
cess in next 2 years
o $124 million can be added in
additional revenue annually through
the use of digital initiatives
o 80% see productivity benefits of
Intelligent Data Management
Maturity of Digital Initiatives
o Only 24% of enterprises in the
Middle East describe their digital
initiatives as mature.
The 2019 Veeam Cloud Data Man-
agement Report found that organi-
zations are on a journey to become a
more intelligent business, meaning
they are leveraging technologies
such as Cloud Data Management
and AI to create a real-time view of
the collective business and the abili-
ty to act intelligently on that insight.
“Cloud has stopped being some-
thing CIOs and IT managers talk
about but don’t necessarily imple-
ment and has become a must-have
for any digital business. At the same
time, data management is taking on
an increasingly crucial role. Organi-
zations are beginning to understand
their data better and being able to
access the right data at the right
time, and recover it when it’s lost or
damaged, can determine the success
of a business,” says Claude Schuck,
regional manager, Middle East at
Veeam.

New Collaboration Provides Incentives
and Further Opportunities to Build Part-
ner Businesses with Nutanix and HPE
The financial industry is one of the most data driven industries.
Regulatory requirements mean financial instuons need to store
many years of transacon data and the enormous data deluge is just
waing to be tapped in order to unlock value from this informaon
tsunami. Big Data Analycs provides significant opportunies to BFSI
sector to outshine their compeon through deep analycs insights
which can guide them on as to how they can provide a higher level of
service and create more value.
Our award winning analycs plaorm tcg mcube, has brought in a
unique self-service Advanced Analysis module with its latest release. tcg
mcube brings you an Analycs workflow template with drag and drop
GUI for creang, experimenng and execung Machine learning and
advanced analycs models along with prebuilt use cases (with the
algorithm used) for your specific industry.
For modern enterprises, which are looking for answers to realize tangible business value from their
analycs investments, this has proved to be a transformaonal step to achieving excellence in
analycs iniaves. We are offering the power of massively parallel distributed compung with an
easy user interface for picking out any data, of TB scale size, from any variety and number of sources
and carrying out the preparaons and model building / training in a synchronized workflow.
How can TCG Digital Help?
Representave sample of your day to day challenges which we could help address:
Problem Statement#
Unavailability of unstructured data
for enriching customer profile.
tcg mcube relies on an in-memory NoSQL data store called
Elascsearch for storage and indexing of data. The
advantage of this data store is that it can index and
structured and unstructured data with equal ease.
Structured data for a customer profile will come from the
Customer Database. This informaon can be enriched
greatly by adding on the analysed content from
unstructured data sources e.g. as feedback, complaints, etc
For real me stream data ingest, tcg mcube employs stream
buffering with Kaa. Stream packets are queued on a scalable
cluster and listening construct at the end of the queue ingests
the data directly into Elascsearch store where the
informaon is indexed and available for analycs on-write.
Soluon incorporates as single store as repository of all data
that needs to be analyzed. Raw data loaded on to the store,
does not need to be downloaded into any other device for
further computaon. Running the required models on the
data store can be achieved by ulizing the distributed
processing capabilies of the storage cluster itself.
Real Time stream data like
transacon logs, events, clickstream,
human interacon data from CRM,
Social feeds are not being ingested.
Data are not consolidated in a
single place and are distributed
across mulple source system,
hence becomes difficult to cnnect
to the respecve system to extract
data and create models.
Time taken to create any model is
very high because of lack of
compute power available to them.
Disbuted compung on a mul-node cluster is the way this
problem can be addressed. tcg mcube facilitates this
effecvely
tcg mcube has 800+ pre-built algorithms and samples include:
Regression Models (Random Forest Regression, H20 Neural Networks, Isotonic Regression,
AFT survival etc)
Classificaon Models (Decision Tree Classifier, Random Forest Classifier, Mullayer
Perceptron Network, Naive Bayes etc)
Chi-square method for feature Selecon and ALS for Recommendaon System
And many, many more...

Microsoft Corp. and Oracle Corp.
have announced a cloud interoper-
ability partnership enabling custom-
ers to migrate and run mission-crit-
ical enterprise workloads across
Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud.
Enterprises can now seamlessly
connect Azure services, like Analyt-
ics and AI, to Oracle Cloud services,
like Autonomous Database. By en-
abling customers to run one part of a
workload within Azure and another
part of the same workload within
the Oracle Cloud, the partnership
delivers a highly optimized, best-
of-both-clouds experience. Taken
together, Azure and Oracle Cloud
offer customers a one-stop shop for
all the cloud services and applica-
tions they need to run their entire
business.
Connecting Azure and Oracle
Cloud through network and identi-
ty interoperability makes lift-and-
improve migrations seamless. This
partnership delivers direct, fast and
highly reliable network connectivity
between two clouds, while continu-
ing to provide first-class customer
service and support that enterprises
have come to expect from the two
companies. In addition to provid-
ing interoperability for customers
running Oracle software on Oracle
Cloud and Microsoft software on
Azure, it enables new and innova-
tive scenarios like running Oracle
E-Business Suite or Oracle JD Ed-
wards on Azure against an Oracle
Autonomous Database running on
Exadata infrastructure in the Oracle
Cloud.
“As the cloud of choice for the
enterprise, with over 95% of the
Fortune 500 using Azure, we have
always been first and foremost fo-
cused on helping our customers
MicrosoftandOracletointerconnect
MicrosoftAzureandOracleCloud
thrive on their digital transformation
journeys,” said Scott Guthrie, exec-
utive vice president of Microsoft’s
Cloud and AI division. “With Ora-
cle’s enterprise expertise, this alli-
ance is a natural choice for us as we
help our joint customers accelerate
the migration of enterprise appli-
cations and databases to the public
cloud.”
“The Oracle Cloud offers a com-
plete suite of integrated applications
for sales, service, marketing, human
resources, finance, supply chain
and manufacturing, plus highly au-
tomated and secure Generation 2
infrastructure featuring the Oracle
Autonomous Database,” said Don
Johnson, executive vice president,
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
“Oracle and Microsoft have served
enterprise customer needs for de-
cades. With this partnership, our
joint customers can migrate their
entire set of existing applications to
the cloud without having to re-ar-
chitect anything, preserving the
large investments they have already
made.”
This partnership delivers direct, fast and highly reliable network connectivity
between two clouds

During MWC Shanghai 2019, Hua-
wei held the 5G is ON Summit
based on the theme of “5G-driven
Digital Upgrades”. Ryan Ding, Ex-
ecutive Director of the Board and
President of the Carrier BG of Hua-
wei, delivered a keynote speech ti-
tled Industries + 5G, Enabling New
Growth at the summit.
“Huawei has so far gained 50 5G
commercial contracts and shipped
more than 150,000 base stations.”
Ding said. “Globally, 5G is gaining
strong momentum in its commercial
adoption. Since the first half of this
year, a good number of countries,
including South Korea, UK, Swit-
zerland, Italy, and Kuwait, have
commercially launched 5G net-
works, 2/3 of which were construct-
ed by Huawei. Industries are start-
ing to embrace 5G and 5G is starting
to explode into prominence by pro-
moting a comprehensive digital
transformation and improving effi-
ciency in many industries. Huawei’s
modular and full-series solutions
will put operators in unique posi-
tions to build green, converged, and
ultra-lean 5G commercial networks
that drive continuous growth.”
5G networks are bringing VR, AR,
and other ultra-HD video services to
Mobile Video 3.0, and this premi-
um experience is compelling users
to change their behavior patterns.
Two months after 5G was commer-
cially launched in South Korea, the
country’s 5G user base have grown
to one million, with daily average
traffic per person of 1.3 GB. 5G’s
ARPU is 75% higher than in 4G,
but the per-GB price is 90% less,
meaning that both users and opera-
tors benefit.
5G technologies also enjoy ul-
tra-high data rates, making them
a big disruptor in the provision of
high-definition, high-speed, and
cost-efficient services across vari-
ous industries.
Traditionally,
live TV broad-
casting requires
broadcasting
vehicles worth
at least CNY80
million and 150
onsite workers
for recording,
editing, trans-
mission, and
broadcasting --
not to mention
the high costs
arising from
costly satellite
transmission.
But things change with cloud
broadcasting, where a less-than-
CNY10,000 package that contains a
5G CPE and five workers are suffi-
cient. Real-time video is sent back
to TV stations over 5G networks, so
broadcasts can happen anywhere,
anytime.
In policing, 5G drones can be rapid-
ly dispatched to scenes without fac-
ing the space restrictions ground of-
ficers are limited to. 4K HD videos
are sent back to the command center
Huawei drives 5G adoption to accelerate digital
transformation
The company is working together with operators
and partners to expand 5G to various industries
in real time so that centralized sur-
veillance and commanding can be
implemented to ensure that details
are fully captured.
At the summit, Ding presented a
video demonstrating how 5G con-
nects various industries, such as
smart transport, smart policing,
smart healthcare, smart entertain-
ment, and smart ports. Huawei of-
fers a broad range of modular and
full-series solutions, including Mas-
sive MIMO, Blade Site, and BookR-
RU, to help global operators build
green, converged, and ultra-lean 5G
networks.

Cohesity makes it simple for organizations to backup vast arrays of enterprise data across on-premises, cloud and edge en- vironments. The new UAE locations will also de- liver increased performance for Microsoft Cloud services to Middle East customers and partners. “These new cloud regions in the UAE are the dawn of a new era, driving digital transformation, economic growth and job creation,” said Sayed Hashish, Regional General Manager, Microsoft Gulf. “We are committed to empowering every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Now, more customers in the Mid- dle East can move with confidence to the trusted and intelligent Microsoft Cloud. They will be more competitive as they start their digital trans- formation journeys – engaging customers, em- powering employees, optimising operations, and reinventing products and services.” Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 are generally available from the new cloud regions in the UAE. Azure, an ever-expanding set of cloud services, offers computing, networking, databas- es, analytics, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) services to help organizations overcome their business challenges. Office 365 empowers customers to get more done on any device, through cloud-based productivity solu- tions providing email, collaboration, conferenc- ing, enterprise social networking and business intelligence. Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, offering the next generation of intelligent busi- ness applications and tools, are anticipated to be available from the cloud regions in the UAE by the end of 2019. Microsoft provides expertise in data protection, security and privacy as well as the industry’s broadest set of compliance certifications to help customers manage compliance with supported industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001/27018, SSAE 18 SOC, and GDPR. Data residency in the UAE will help enable govern- ment organizations and enterprises to comply with in-country regulatory frameworks and de- crease the obstacles for cloud adoption. This al- lows, for example, public sector departments to revitalize their service delivery with the ability to improve data gathering, promote teamwork, por- tal development and analytics. Regional organizations of all sizes from across all industries have placed their trust in the Mic- rosoft Cloud. These include the Emirates Group, Emaar Properties, Majid Al Futtaim, Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts, Landmark Group, Abu Dhabi Avaya has published a global survey of nearly 2,800 IT and business decision leaders from 17 countries which found that over 90 percent see AI as a crucial element in the digital transformation of their organization and 94 percent recognize the ability of AI to transform the performance of their contact center. The study also revealed that 81 percent believe failing to properly adopt ar- tificial intelligence now will cost their company throughout the next decade. However, 42 percent of organizations admitted they are currently only 40-60 percent through their implementation of AI in the contact center. “AI: The De Facto for Contact Center Experi- ence” is a new research report conducted by Van- son Bourne and sponsored by Avaya, that looks at AI in the contact center, including the current status of implementation, practical implications and the benefits and challenges of AI. The global survey saw 32 percent of respondents from the Americas, 43 percent from EMEA and 25 percent from Asia Pacific. While the overwhelming majority of respondents’ Global Markets (ADGM), Miral, Daman Insur- ance, RAK Ceramics, Imdaad, Gulf Air, Viva, Kuwait Finance House, and Dubai World Trade Center. These include Dubai Airports, Etihad Airways, Mubadala De- velopment Company, Mashreq Bank, The First Group, Network International, and Shelf Drilling. Microsoft has been working closely with Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) and Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) to enable compliant adoption of Cloud Services by the UAE government and semi-government entities. Microsoft is also the first cloud service provid- er in the UAE to achieve DESC’s Cloud Service Provider certification. Microsoft also anticipates the cloud services de- livered from the UAE to have a positive impact on job creation, entrepreneurship and economic growth across the region. The International Data Corporation (IDC) predicts that cloud comput- ing and the Microsoft ecosystem is set to bring more than half a million jobs to the Middle East, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE be- tween 2017 and 2022. The World Bank has re- ported that for every job created in technology, more than four jobs are created across all occupa- tion and income groups. With a pool of Microsoft engineers, data scien- tists and experts contributing to the digital trans- formation journeys of Middle East customers and their migrations to the cloud, Microsoft continues to help bridge the skills gap amongst the IT com- munity in the region and enhance their technical acumen for cloud services. Through Microsoft Cloud Society, which has trained over 150,000 IT professionals in the Middle East & Africa, companies will further benefit from the increased availability and performance of cloud services delivered from UAE to help realize the business benefits of cloud and upskill them in migrating and managing their cloud infrastructures. Opportunity for partners The new cloud regions in the UAE bring a mas- sive opportunity for partners in the Gulf to grow their revenues and customer bases. More than 1,800 certified Microsoft partners from the re- gion will play a pivotal role in supporting gov- ernment and private organizations to embark on their cloud journeys. Salesforce pioneered AI for CRM with Salesforce Einstein, and today delivers AI-powered ana- lytics for sales and marketing. Tab- leau will make both Customer 360 and Salesforce’s analytics capabil- ities stronger than ever, and enable the company to reach a much broad- er set of customers and users. Tableau pioneered self-service an- alytics with an intuitive analytics platform that empowers people of any skill level to work with data. More than 86,000 organizations around the world, such as Charles Schwab, Verizon, Schneider Elec- tric, Southwest and Netflix, rely on Tableau to help them see and under- stand data. Tableau will be positioned to scale and further its mission to help peo- ple see and understand data. Follow- ing the acquisition close, Tableau will operate independently under the Tableau brand, driving forward a continued focus on its mission, customers and community. As part of the world’s #1 CRM company, Tableau will remain headquartered in Seattle, Wash. and will continue to be led by CEO Adam Selipsky and the current leadership team. >> From page 3 Adam Selipsky President and CEO, Tableau Salesforceto acquire... organizations are using AI within their contact center for improving customer self-service (47 percent), resolving customer issues faster (44 percent) and predicting customer needs (41 percent), the report found that over a third of respondents are doing so via chatbots to interact with customers, considered by some to be one of the most basic forms of AI. The survey found respondents are looking to go beyond chatbots, but need help in doing so effectively. Even though only a quarter (25 per- cent) of respondents’ organizations have fully implemented an AI strat- egy, over half (51 percent) want to expand the number of areas of their business where AI is implemented. For example, roughly 40 percent would like to predict caller intent with speech analytics and/or ana- lyze caller emotion to optimize the experience of engaging via phone. As AI becomes more prominent, 85 percent of decision makers cite that they will need to seek out more third-party support to fully integrate the technology into their contact center. Chris McGugan, Avaya SVP, Solu- tions & Technology said, “Antic- ipating customer needs and lever- aging AI to better meet those needs leads to higher first contact resolu- tion rates for customers and ulti- mately financial gains for the orga- nizations effectively utilizing AI in their contact centers. Additionally, as customers transition from static matching to utilizing AI in behav- ioral pairing such as skills based routing or proactive outbound mes- saging, agents are empowered and fully contextually aware to moni- tor and manage the full customer journey all from a single, intuitive user interface leading to flexible, automated decision making in the future.” By implementing AI, 55 percent of respondents cited both a bet- ter experience for customers and increased customer satisfaction. While at least a third surveyed also noted other expected benefits such as predictive analytics, improved revenue and higher lifetime value. When it comes to developing an AI solution in-house or buying from a third party, 52 percent of respon- dents in all regions cited a mix of in- house and third-party development as preferable. According to the latest industry survey results released from Vee- am Software, the leader in Backup solutions that enable Cloud Data Management, 73% of organizations admit to not being able to meet us- ers’ demands for uninterrupted ac- cess to data and services, costing the typical company $20 million a year. However, this year’s study shows that organizations are acting to com- bat this, with nearly three-quarters (72%) looking to embrace Cloud Data Management, often by exploit- ing hybrid cloud capabilities, to en- sure success and drive more value from their data. The 2019 Veeam Cloud Data Man- agement Report surveyed more than 1,500 senior business and IT leaders from 13 countries and found that respondents are aware of the impor- tance of data management to their business’ success, pointing to great- er productivity today, and the poten- tial to drive business transformation in the future. Middle East Survey Findings: Addressing Data Management Challenges o 93% of organizations will have Cloud Data Management initiatives in place by the end of 2019 to drive success o The average enterprise is invest- ing $41 million in transformational technologies Companies on the journey to be- come a more intelligent business have four defining attributes o Cloud Data Management - 76% have SaaS deployments, citing se- curity and flexibility as key o Capabilities - 89% see increas- ing employee skills as critical to the success of Intelligent Data Manage- ment initiatives o Culture - 66% believe company culture must be more open to digital o Confidence - 97% have confi- dence in Intelligent Data Manage- ment initiatives The big benefits of digital trans- formation to Middle Eastern businesses o 44% view the deployment of digital technology as critical to suc- cess in next 2 years o $124 million can be added in additional revenue annually through the use of digital initiatives o 80% see productivity benefits of Intelligent Data Management Maturity of Digital Initiatives o Only 24% of enterprises in the Middle East describe their digital initiatives as mature. The 2019 Veeam Cloud Data Man- agement Report found that organi- zations are on a journey to become a more intelligent business, meaning they are leveraging technologies such as Cloud Data Management and AI to create a real-time view of the collective business and the abili- ty to act intelligently on that insight. “Cloud has stopped being some- thing CIOs and IT managers talk about but don’t necessarily imple- ment and has become a must-have for any digital business. At the same time, data management is taking on an increasingly crucial role. Organi- zations are beginning to understand their data better and being able to access the right data at the right time, and recover it when it’s lost or damaged, can determine the success of a business,” says Claude Schuck, regional manager, Middle East at Veeam. Regulatory requirements mean financial instuons need to store many years of transacon data and the enormous data deluge is just waing to be tapped in order to unlock value from this informaon tsunami. Big Data Analycs provides significant opportunies to BFSI sector to outshine their compeon through deep analycs insights which can guide them on as to how they can provide a higher level of service and create more value. Our award winning analycs plaorm tcg mcube, has brought in a unique self-service Advanced Analysis module with its latest release. tcg mcube brings you an Analycs workflow template with drag and drop GUI for creang, experimenng and execung Machine learning and advanced analycs models along with prebuilt use cases (with the algorithm used) for your specific industry. For modern enterprises, which are looking for answers to realize tangible business value from their analycs investments, this has proved to be a transformaonal step to achieving excellence in analycs iniaves. We are offering the power of massively parallel distributed compung with an easy user interface for picking out any data, of TB scale size, from any variety and number of sources and carrying out the preparaons and model building / training in a synchronized workflow. How can TCG Digital Help? Representave sample of your day to day challenges which we could help address: Problem Statement# Unavailability of unstructured data for enriching customer profile. tcg mcube relies on an in-memory NoSQL data store called Elascsearch for storage and indexing of data. The advantage of this data store is that it can index and structured and unstructured data with equal ease. Structured data for a customer profile will come from the Customer Database. This informaon can be enriched greatly by adding on the analysed content from unstructured data sources e.g. as feedback, complaints, etc For real me stream data ingest, tcg mcube employs stream buffering with Kaa. Stream packets are queued on a scalable cluster and listening construct at the end of the queue ingests the data directly into Elascsearch store where the informaon is indexed and available for analycs on-write. Soluon incorporates as single store as repository of all data that needs to be analyzed. Raw data loaded on to the store, does not need to be downloaded into any other device for further computaon. Running the required models on the data store can be achieved by ulizing the distributed processing capabilies of the storage cluster itself. Real Time stream data like transacon logs, events, clickstream, human interacon data from CRM, Social feeds are not being ingested. Data are not consolidated in a single place and are distributed across mulple source system, hence becomes difficult to cnnect to the respecve system to extract data and create models. Time taken to create any model is very high because of lack of compute power available to them. Disbuted compung on a mul-node cluster is the way this problem can be addressed. tcg mcube facilitates this effecvely tcg mcube has 800+ pre-built algorithms and samples include: Regression Models (Random Forest Regression, H20 Neural Networks, Isotonic Regression, AFT survival etc) Classificaon Models (Decision Tree Classifier, Random Forest Classifier, Mullayer Perceptron Network, Naive Bayes etc) Chi-square method for feature Selecon and ALS for Recommendaon System And many, many more... 1 2 3 4

For more information, please write to sales.value@redingtonmea.com July 2019 / 08 Microsoft Corp. and Oracle Corp. have announced a cloud interoper- ability partnership enabling custom- ers to migrate and run mission-crit- ical enterprise workloads across Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud. Enterprises can now seamlessly connect Azure services, like Analyt- ics and AI, to Oracle Cloud services, like Autonomous Database. By en- abling customers to run one part of a workload within Azure and another part of the same workload within the Oracle Cloud, the partnership delivers a highly optimized, best- of-both-clouds experience. Taken together, Azure and Oracle Cloud offer customers a one-stop shop for all the cloud services and applica- tions they need to run their entire business. Connecting Azure and Oracle Cloud through network and identi- ty interoperability makes lift-and- improve migrations seamless. This partnership delivers direct, fast and highly reliable network connectivity between two clouds, while continu- ing to provide first-class customer service and support that enterprises have come to expect from the two companies. In addition to provid- ing interoperability for customers running Oracle software on Oracle Cloud and Microsoft software on Azure, it enables new and innova- tive scenarios like running Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle JD Ed- wards on Azure against an Oracle Autonomous Database running on Exadata infrastructure in the Oracle Cloud. “As the cloud of choice for the enterprise, with over 95% of the Fortune 500 using Azure, we have always been first and foremost fo- cused on helping our customers MicrosoftandOracletointerconnect MicrosoftAzureandOracleCloud thrive on their digital transformation journeys,” said Scott Guthrie, exec- utive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and AI division. “With Ora- cle’s enterprise expertise, this alli- ance is a natural choice for us as we help our joint customers accelerate the migration of enterprise appli- cations and databases to the public cloud.” “The Oracle Cloud offers a com- plete suite of integrated applications for sales, service, marketing, human resources, finance, supply chain and manufacturing, plus highly au- tomated and secure Generation 2 infrastructure featuring the Oracle Autonomous Database,” said Don Johnson, executive vice president, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). “Oracle and Microsoft have served enterprise customer needs for de- cades. With this partnership, our joint customers can migrate their entire set of existing applications to the cloud without having to re-ar- chitect anything, preserving the large investments they have already made.” This partnership delivers direct, fast and highly reliable network connectivity between two clouds Scott Guthrie EVP, Microsoft’s Cloud and AI division During MWC Shanghai 2019, Hua- wei held the 5G is ON Summit based on the theme of “5G-driven Digital Upgrades”. Ryan Ding, Ex- ecutive Director of the Board and President of the Carrier BG of Hua- wei, delivered a keynote speech ti- tled Industries + 5G, Enabling New Growth at the summit. “Huawei has so far gained 50 5G commercial contracts and shipped more than 150,000 base stations.” Ding said. “Globally, 5G is gaining strong momentum in its commercial adoption. Since the first half of this year, a good number of countries, including South Korea, UK, Swit- zerland, Italy, and Kuwait, have commercially launched 5G net- works, 2/3 of which were construct- ed by Huawei. Industries are start- ing to embrace 5G and 5G is starting to explode into prominence by pro- moting a comprehensive digital transformation and improving effi- ciency in many industries. Huawei’s modular and full-series solutions will put operators in unique posi- tions to build green, converged, and ultra-lean 5G commercial networks that drive continuous growth.” 5G networks are bringing VR, AR, and other ultra-HD video services to Mobile Video 3.0, and this premi- um experience is compelling users to change their behavior patterns. Two months after 5G was commer- cially launched in South Korea, the country’s 5G user base have grown to one million, with daily average traffic per person of 1.3 GB. 5G’s ARPU is 75% higher than in 4G, but the per-GB price is 90% less, meaning that both users and opera- tors benefit. 5G technologies also enjoy ul- tra-high data rates, making them a big disruptor in the provision of high-definition, high-speed, and cost-efficient services across vari- ous industries. Traditionally, live TV broad- casting requires broadcasting vehicles worth at least CNY80 million and 150 onsite workers for recording, editing, trans- mission, and broadcasting -- not to mention the high costs arising from costly satellite transmission. But things change with cloud broadcasting, where a less-than- CNY10,000 package that contains a 5G CPE and five workers are suffi- cient. Real-time video is sent back to TV stations over 5G networks, so broadcasts can happen anywhere, anytime. In policing, 5G drones can be rapid- ly dispatched to scenes without fac- ing the space restrictions ground of- ficers are limited to. 4K HD videos are sent back to the command center Huawei drives 5G adoption to accelerate digital transformation The company is working together with operators and partners to expand 5G to various industries in real time so that centralized sur- veillance and commanding can be implemented to ensure that details are fully captured. At the summit, Ding presented a video demonstrating how 5G con- nects various industries, such as smart transport, smart policing, smart healthcare, smart entertain- ment, and smart ports. Huawei of- fers a broad range of modular and full-series solutions, including Mas- sive MIMO, Blade Site, and BookR- RU, to help global operators build green, converged, and ultra-lean 5G networks.
