MOST WANTED

So how is 2011 panning out so far for the
         IT recruitment sector?

Referral Reward: £250 - £1000
MOST WANTED
The return to training talent in-house

With the Graduate season upon us,
many clients have been filling
their growth demands through
hiring talented Graduates however
there has been a greater shift to
hiring sales professionals with
greater industry knowledge who
can add value straight away and
have a more proven track record
prior to recruitment.

There is a high demand for B2B sales professionals rather
than taking a risk on a straight graduate with no
commercial acumen.
MOST WANTED
IT into Banking
With the launch of many fast track start ups within this
market, it has to be one of the most competitive right now
for candidates and salaries and counter offers have been
massively on the increase.

Clients have moved back to
an emphasis on new
business recruiters having
hired heavily to build
delivery focused teams in
2010 however consultants at
all levels are in very high
demand and there is a
wealth of available
opportunities in this market.
MOST WANTED
Senior Appointments

There has been a slow down at the senior end of the market
with a lot of placements
having been appointed in
late 2010 and the first
quarter of 2011.

There are still many
team leader level roles
as many companies are
now building their future
management teams in
order to sustain the pace of growth needed to keep up with
the market.
MOST WANTED
 Upturn in counter offers....

Counter offers had hardly been utilised at all prior to the
recession, in fact in most cases people would be asked to
leave with immediate effect and put on garden leave.

With the demand for good recruiters so high, companies are
offering at times up to 40% increases in basic salaries in an
attempt to try and retain recruiters even with as little as 6
months experience! This could have a knock on effect to
those recruiting as salary expectations are inflated above
normal rates and the cost of hiring could dramatically
 impact companies in 2011.
