This document describes an appliance recall check service that identifies potentially recalled appliances in homes being sold. It scans for recalls on major appliances and systems dating back to 1974 using a database of over 195 million products. Inspectors collect appliance data and submit a report identifying any high probability recalls. Home buyers receive a detailed recall report within 2 business days listing affected appliances, recall details, and repair instructions to ensure safety and resolve issues. The ongoing service also alerts clients of new recalls for existing appliances.
