The phrase "Makeup is self-confidence applied directly to the face" though humorous is a factual statement for many Individuals. Variation among humans is great, even so the criteria of what is perceived as beautiful lies in a narrow margin. People use makeup to come as close to the status quo as possible. Compelling evidence shows that Persons wear makeup to alter their appearance, to appear more attractive for a socio-economic advantage, as well as managing self-image. Persons use makeup to attract wealth. The appearance of an individual provides plenty of non- verbal information to others, in fact, beauty is one of the most important determinants of attraction in the early stages of many relationships. Persons apply makeup to enhance their physical appearance hoping to be found attractive to others. Good-looking people tend to settle down with wealthier people. Persons will use makeup hoping to be found attractive by wealthy individuals resulting in upward social movement. Ultimately, applying makeup increases one's attractiveness, henceforth leading to socio-economic profit Makeup is used for self-image governance. Self-Image is the idea one possesses of their talents, appearance, and personality. Most people feel confident and identified with a general feeling of euphoria after makeup was applied. Therefore, makeup use positively affect one's self-esteem, affecting overall health. For this reason, makeup contributes to a person's psychological profile, having implications in areas such as their personal happiness. Makeup is used to modify the appearance so that a person looks more in line with what society defines as beautiful, increasing the chances of being financially affluent and providing a feeling of self-worth. Humans are survivalist, as a result Makeup is a part of society and will be used because it is a valuable tool used to be happier by 'leveling the playing field' or giving a decisive appearance advantage.
