OBJECTIVE
Context:
MID (Measuring Instruments Directive - 2004/22/CE) is a 2004 European Directive
applicable to measuring devices and systems in the context of commercial transactions.
The aim of the directive is improve protection of consumers and safeguard their interests.
The EN50470-1/-3 standard defines three specific accuracy classes: A, B and C. These are
comparable to the IEC62053-21/-22 active energy metering standard: Class A is equivalent
to 2% accuracy, Class B to 1 % and Class C to 0.5 %.

3. Our solution replaces all existing sub-meters, which can include, Analogue Dial meters, and
standard cube meters, with a single MID class meter suitable for tenant billing and aM&T.
SOLUTION
The new meters are automatically read in real-time and
connected via our Ultra RF wireless Modbus transmitters,
which avoid intrusive, complicated and expensive cross-
site wiring.
The local Modbus transmitters connect via long range
868Mhz RF (up to 15km line of site) to our central GSM RF
Gateways located in the building.
The Gateways connect via independent and secure GSM
(cellular coms), to our cloud server, where the data can be
viewed in real-time, reports are generated and trends can
be analysis to assist with demand reduction.

6. The system allows a single meter or multiple meters to be grouped and assigned to a Tenant.
Each month the system compares previous reading to the present reading for each meter and
for each tariff (high/low) and generates a bill as pdf report.
TENANT BILLING REPORTS

The reports are emailed out to pre-configured
email recipients every month to both the client
and if required (optional), direct to the tenant.
Reports can be created for non-tenanted areas
in the same way, to allocate department costs
accurately and estimate electrical utility bills.
We are working on an additional function to
provide a CSV output option which will collate
all tenant, and other meters, kWh and costs
from the individual reports.
